Job Description
Digital Content Manager (12 Months FTC Maternity Cover)
We’re looking for a Digital Content Manager who’s interested in planning, developing and implementing content for our TKMaxx brand (UK, Germany and Austria) across web, mobile and apps.
You’ll be joining our dynamic Digital Content team, which sits as part of the wider Digital Commerce function. The team is currently made up of 9 people and is a mix of managers, officers and assistants, who work together closely embodying values of strong relationships, mutual support and collaboration.
Job Summary
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of digital content for three countries (UK, DE, AT) across web, mobile and apps.
This role includes line management of Digital Content Officers and Assistants.
The Digital Content Manager is responsible for all website and app content supporting both transactional and non-transactional elements of the sites and apps.
This role partners closely across Digital Commerce and Marketing teams to ensure all content aligns with strategy, trading priorities, omnichannel approach and brand guidelines.

- Manage Officers and Assistants including day-to-day workload and prioritisations.
- Manage and coach Officers and Assistants in personal development planning and timely reviews.
- Work in partnership with European Manager of Content to define the online content strategy to drive traffic and commercial business goals and priorities.
- Partnering with Online Trading team to translate monthly Digital Commerce trading calendar into content plan for websites and apps (Homepage, Category landing pages, App content etc.) for UK, DE and AT ensuring approach is agile to changing commercial and trading focus areas.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of transactional and non-transactional digital content for three countries (UK, DE, AT) across web, mobile and apps.
- Responsible for CMS management and workflow through content team, including monitoring defects and enhancements.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing to ensure the content strategy aligns with omnichannel, SEO and digital media strategies.
- Responsible for ensuring timely briefing of all content assets into the Creative team and the build and production of content to the website and apps.
- Responsible for working with Officers and Assistants to review site and app KPI data and produce weekly Content report and monthly lessons learnt to share with key partners.
- Takes a data-driven approach, with ability to analyse and understand which content performs best and why, making recommendations to improve content including testing opportunities.
- Proactively seeks support from UX team and insight and analytics teams to identify improvements to website content.
- Keep abreast of competitor behaviour and market trends. Review competitor websites, social channels and industry news.
- Drive personal development and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in team and function.
- Build off-price awareness in self and others by seeking out opportunities to learn from peers and partners in other functions.

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Experience of working with content management systems (CMS) or similar systems within an ecommerce environment is desirable.
- Highly commercial with ability to use and evaluate website analytics tools, create reports and present recommendations.
- Ability to use insight and evaluate website analytics tools, to improve website content.
- Excellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively; work well with a team and have a pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Excellent planning and re-prioritising across tasks and team output as required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic, with a passion for the work, building relationships and our organisation.
- Prioritising own workload and self-efficient, results oriented.
