Digital Content Manager

At Woodgreen, we're passionate about helping pets and their people and we're looking for an experienced Digital Content Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract to plan and deliver brilliant digital content.

As our expert you will build on and further develop our SEO strategy and research, planning and producing content that engages audiences and increases our visibility.

You will:

  • Take a lead role in developing, driving and optimising our digital content and SEO strategies.
  • Produce a range of digital content to acquire, retain and develop new and existing audiences.
  • Create, update and optimise advice and impact content as well as, engagement, retention and fundraising content for use on Woodgreen websites and channels.
  • Increase the visibility and utility of Woodgreen's websites and digital channels through the production of high quality, highly targeted digital content that delivers an excellent user and supporter experience.
  • Combine strong technical and analytical skills with a keen understanding of how to create impactful and engaging digital content.

As an experienced digital content creator with a strong understanding of SEO, content strategy and digital marketing you will be confident creating compelling copy for different audiences and channels, and comfortable using analytics and insight to make informed decisions. You will have the desire and ability to be self-driven. In this role you won’t just be responding to briefs, you will be responsible for determining the direction we should be taking with our content. In addition, you will bring experience of:

  • Developing and implementing digital content and SEO strategies and campaigns, achieving desired targets and reporting on impact.
  • Developing and delivering key messages to a variety of audiences through digital content.
  • Planning and writing content that drives SEO and engagement.
  • Creating content for websites, social and email.
  • Working with SEO tools and carrying out research to identify opportunities and map out effective content plans.
  • Writing and editing highly engaging advice, impact, fundraising and engagement copy across online channels, with demonstrable skills in being clear and concise and optimising for channel, audience and visibility.
  • Using Google Analytics, Data Studio and other tools to analyse and optimise content performance.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders, including external agency partners and internal campaign owners.
  • Innovation and developing opportunities for growth.
  • Using CMS systems.

Role Details

This is a full time 12 month fixed-term, hybrid role, working 37.5 hours per week. Our Head Office is based Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire and our successful candidate will be expected, on average, to work from our site once or twice a month. The starting salary for this position is £36,665 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is complemented by:
