Role overview:

The Content Manager is responsible for the day-to-day roles and responsibilities of the team. With fine-tuned organisation and time management skills, they will ensure all tasks, projects and priorities are complete on time, and to a high standard. They are responsible for the smooth running of the department and assisting the Content Lead in any supportive capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with all teams to manage and circulate the delivery of content as per the business requirements / to strict deadlines.
  • Working with the wider teams to develop all content and drive innovation for JD that increases brand and product story presence alongside conversion, view product and add to cart across site and app.
  • Working with the UX team to improve site conversion and view product by ensuring best in class creative is executed, using best practice to maximise return.
  • Work with the projects team to help trial and deliver new functionality across the Omni-Channel estate and ensure any work is delivered on time.
  • Responsible for working with the studio team to develop leading content for JD across all EMEA territories. As well as developing processes to ensure we can deliver content within deadlines.
  • Review heat maps and provide regular analysis to be implemented in future changes.
  • Continually monitor competitor activity and relevant creative sources for inspiration and share with the wider team.
  • Ensure brand guidelines and creative consistency is executed across the full estate including desktop, mobile, app, kiosk, iPad and any additional digital builds. Making sure all of these channels are fully up to date with the latest campaign and marketing imagery.

Role objectives and KPI’s:

  • Support and influence the UX team to ensure regular testing takes place on-site to improve user journey and conversion.
  • Work with wider teams to ensure full digital requirements are executed perfectly, always honouring commercial agreements.
  • Work with wider teams to continually improve the process needed to deliver the best-in-class work in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that the Content team is appropriately equipped to undertake their duties and that the facilities enable their efficient conduct of work.
  • Develop strong relationships across the business including with the merchandising, marketing, retail & buying teams.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience of commercial online marketing within eCommerce retailing is essential (ideally within the fashion industry)
  • Experience of developing and executing marketing strategies – across an EMEA focus
  • Experience of briefing and planning digital content
  • Experience of managing a team
  • Experience of using eCommerce applications such as Mesh, Fred Hopper and Google Analytics
  • A degree in marketing/online marketing – or another subject with obvious transferrable skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly organised with proven experience working on a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Working quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience using Google Analytics to report on performance
  • Strong commercial awareness

  • Global strategy creation and lead
  • Advanced leadership – how to manage upwards (rather than just their team)
  • Advanced projects and development
  • Hiring and team growth – how to build their perfect team
