About PharmaBoardroom

PharmaBoardroom is a specialist B2B publication covering the healthcare and life sciences industry, with editorial reach across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and MENA. We work with executives and policymakers to produce reports, interviews, and analysis that shape how the industry understands itself.

The role

We're looking for someone to take real ownership of how our audience experiences what we produce — and of the data that tells us whether it's working. You'll be the person who turns our editorial output into engaging content, keeps our digital operations running smoothly, and builds and owns the KPI reporting that shows us what's landing and what isn't.

It's a hands-on role with genuine responsibility from day one — a strong fit for someone with an interest in media, digital products, and how content businesses actually work, who wants to build real skills across content, marketing operations, and analytics rather than sit in a single lane.

What you'll own

  • Newsletters & LinkedIn content — drafting and formatting newsletters and LinkedIn posts from our existing reports and interviews, in an engaging, distinctive voice
  • Turning insight into story — taking findings from our interviews and reports and reshaping them into short, compelling marketing pieces: teasers, snapshots, pull-quote graphics
  • KPI & analytics ownership — building and maintaining our website and content performance dashboard (traffic, engagement, newsletter/campaign performance), and flagging what it means for what we produce next
  • Website & CMS operations — page updates, meta descriptions, on-site SEO housekeeping, and ongoing website maintenance
  • CRM & campaign operations — list segmentation, campaign scheduling, and performance tracking
  • External supplier coordination — liaising with external suppliers and vendors (e.g. web/hosting providers, freelancers) to keep things running smoothly

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

  • A recent graduate or early-stage professional with an interest in media, digital products, or content businesses — backgrounds in marketing, digital communications, media/PR, or journalism with a digital/analytics lean are all a good fit
  • A great communicator — you'll be supporting a team and suppliers that are globally dispersed and culturally diverse, so clear, adaptable communication matters as much as any technical skill
  • Comfortable with (or a fast learner on) a CMS platform and basic analytics tools
  • A portfolio or examples of content, campaign, or analytics work — this matters more to us than academic credentials alone
  • Based in or near Birmingham, able to work in person at our central Birmingham office on fixed days (to be defined with the right candidate) each week

What's on offer

  • Competitive pay, based on experience
  • Fixed days each week, ongoing from the start — this isn't a fixed-term placement, it's a real, growing part of the team
  • Full ownership of a function from the start: you'll build the dashboard, define what "good" looks like, and see the direct impact of your work
  • Direct mentorship from our Managing Editor and real visibility into how a specialist B2B publishing business runs
  • Room to grow the role as you grow into it — this is designed as a launchpad, not a fixed job description
