Digital Content Officer
We’re looking for a Digital Content Officer who can spot a good story – and the people who can help tell it – and make it work hard across our channels. You’ll create content from scratch, find fresh angles, and adapt and repurpose for different audiences and platforms.
You’ll help shape and deliver our day-to-day content across web, email, social media and campaigns, commissioning content where needed, and finding opportunities to connect activity across channels. Social media will be an important part of the role, from creating and scheduling content to community management and social listening.
Working closely with the Content Manager and colleagues across Content, Brand, Web, External Affairs and Membership, you’ll turn strategic priorities into practical content plans, manage a busy forward content calendar and coordinate delivery across teams.
What you’ll do
- Spot opportunities for engaging content and stories, identifying the people, ideas and activity that will resonate with our members and audiences.
- Create, edit and repurpose content across web, email, social media and campaigns, adapting it for different channels and audiences.
- Own and manage the day-to-day digital content plan, maintaining the forward calendar and ensuring activity is coordinated and delivered on time.
- Create and commission digital content and assets, working with colleagues and our Brand team to bring ideas to life.
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of our social media content, including publishing, scheduling, community management and moderation.
- Use social listening, audience insight and performance data to understand what our audiences are interested in and identify opportunities to improve our content.
- Work with colleagues across the Communications Directorate and wider College to coordinate content, manage contributors and deadlines, and keep delivery on track.
- Ensure digital content is accessible, accurate, on brand and follows digital best practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
