Digital Content Officer

National Park Offices, Penrhyndeudraeth (with hybrid working)

About Us

Eryri National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 square miles, the Park is home to the highest mountain in Wales, the largest natural lake in Wales, and over 26,000 people.

We are now looking for a Digital Content Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required, on occasion.

Welsh language skills are essential for this role. Please read the job description for the exact level required.

The Role

As a Digital Content Officer, you will create and manage engaging digital content across our online channels.

Working closely with colleagues and external partners, you will develop and co-ordinate high-quality, accessible content for social media, the website, microsites and the intranet and deliver engaging campaigns and digital communications.

You will also lead the production of the Eryri Podcast and Eryri Newsletter, monitor content performance and ensure all digital content is bilingual, accessible and aligned with our communications goals.

Additionally, you will:

  • Maintain the Social Media and Communications Planner
  • Respond to comments and enquiries alongside the Communications Team
  • Use SEO, analytics and audience insights to enhance the user experience and improve performance
  • Act as the main contact for the external web support agency
  • Deliver training on the website and content management system for staff, Members and stakeholders

About You

To be considered as a Digital Content Officer, you will need:

  • The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
  • The ability to produce a wide variety of digital content, including video, audio and copywriting
  • A thorough understanding of website Content Management Systems, specifically WordPress
  • The ability to monitor and use analytical content performance and insights to inform digital content development
  • A thorough understanding of social media platforms and technologies
  • Exceptional copywriting skills in both Welsh and English
  • An excellent eye for design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • To be educated to degree level in a related subject and/or proven experience in the development and production of high-quality digital content
  • A full, valid driving licence and access to a car
