Job Description – Digital Content Producer

Location: Manchester and surrounding area, with occasional travel

Reporting to: Head of Digital Content and Strategy

Contract: Regular, ongoing freelance

Start date: Immediate

Salary: Please submit your day rate with your application

Role Overview

Deep Fusion is looking for an experienced self-shooting digital content producer to create engaging, high-quality content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Working closely with talent and the wider digital team, you will turn strategic ideas into distinctive, repeatable content formats that feel natural to the talent and are built for online audiences.

This is a hands-on freelance role for someone who can develop ideas, write, shoot, and edit. You will be confident leading a shoot independently, have your own kit (camera/sound/light), and be able to capture both long-form and vertical content, making the most of each filming day through careful planning and efficient production.

The role is based within a commutable distance of Manchester, and interest in snooker is preferable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop original, repeatable video ideas in line with the channel strategy, audience insights, and current platform trends.
  • Plan and lead regular filming days with the talent, including research, treatments, scripts, questions, shot lists, and practical shoot schedules.
  • Self-shoot polished long-form and short-form content using your own camera, sound, and lighting kit.
  • Direct talent confidently and sensitively, creating a relaxed environment that brings out personality, expertise, and humor on camera.
  • Capture a versatile bank of material from each shoot, including YouTube sequences, vertical clips, social cutaways, stills, behind-the-scenes footage, and clean promotional assets.
  • Edit selected fast-turnaround videos and social content to a high standard, adding captions, music, and simple graphics where appropriate.
  • Supply clearly organized rushes, selects, edit notes, and project files to the digital producer and specialist editor for larger or more complex edits.
  • Adapt ideas and footage for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, understanding that each platform needs its own framing, pacing, and storytelling approach.
  • Capture strong thumbnail options and promotional stills during each shoot, with an understanding of what drives clicks on YouTube and social platforms.
  • Identify reactive opportunities around tournaments, topical moments, and audience conversations, while also developing evergreen content that can perform throughout the year.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the team, responding constructively to feedback and meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Maintain strong technical and editorial standards, including accurate file management, backups, rights awareness, releases, and brand-safety considerations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
