About DDATS and Vinmore
DDATS is Vinmore's dedicated digital delivery arm. We work across digital services, data and AI, cloud, Salesforce and quality engineering for UK public sector delivery. Vinmore has delivered more than 60 public sector engagements and can draw on a wider network of specialist technology SMEs when needed.
The role
We are looking for an early-career Digital Delivery & Data Intern to support a live UK Government project through its Discovery and Alpha stages.
We call it a Vinternship :). You will still be doing real delivery work, with the support expected at SFIA Level 1/2.
You will work alongside experienced consultants across digital delivery, user research, service design, data and technology. We want someone who can contribute from the start and develop quickly with the right support.
What you will work on
Discovery is about building the evidence: understanding users, services, data, systems and delivery constraints. Alpha tests the assumptions that could change the answer, including prototypes, service and data options and the scope of a minimum viable product.
- Maintain delivery plans, sprint backlogs, RAID and decision logs.
- Support user research scheduling, note-taking and evidence organisation.
- Create or update user journeys, process maps and service maps.
- Support data inventories, data journeys and data quality analysis.
- Capture prototype and testing evidence.
- Prepare PowerPoint packs for decisions, findings and project outcomes.
- Support weekly reporting, client meetings and handover activity.
- Maintain project evidence so findings and decisions can be traced back to source material.

What we are looking for
We expect the role to suit a strong recent graduate or early-career professional. Your experience may come from an internship, placement, apprenticeship, junior role or relevant project work.
Previous UK Government experience is useful, but not required.
- Some practical professional or workplace experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisation.
- Confidence working in a remote professional team.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar subjects and tools quickly.
Microsoft Office skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential. At a minimum, you should be comfortable with:
- PowerPoint: turning notes, analysis and decisions into clear client-facing slides.
- Excel: organising, tracking and analysing information.
- Word: preparing clear, structured written material.
- Teams: day-to-day collaboration in a remote delivery team.
Discovery and Alpha experience
Experience of Discovery, Alpha or similar early-stage digital work would be particularly useful. This could include:
- User research or research synthesis.
- Business analysis or requirements work.
- Service design or process mapping.
- Data discovery, analysis or data-flow mapping.
- Prototype or usability testing.
- Agile delivery, backlog management or sprint ceremonies.
Other useful tools

Role level and support
The role is aligned to SFIA Levels 1 and 2. You will work under guidance and take responsibility for defined tasks as your experience develops. Senior consultants remain accountable for client deliverables and decisions.

Keeping the opportunity open

A university degree is not essential where you can demonstrate relevant capability and experience.
Availability and right to work
- You must be available to interview this week.
- You must be able to start within the next two weeks.
- You must be available full-time for the initial six-week placement.
- You must already have the right to work full-time in the UK.
Vinmore cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview. We will send a short case study 24 to 48 hours before the scheduled interview.
You will be asked to prepare a short presentation. The first 15 minutes of the interview will be used for your presentation and questions on the case study.
We will assess how you structure the problem, use the information provided, reach conclusions and communicate your thinking.
