Job Title
An established financial institution is undertaking an exciting programme of technology and business transformation, modernising core capabilities through a combination of internally developed platforms and carefully selected third-party services. As part of this ongoing change, we are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join a multidisciplinary delivery team working across areas such as credit, lending and financial crime.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with a Product Owner and Technical Lead, taking responsibility for helping the team turn priorities into successful outcomes. You will operate within an agile environment, supporting a collaborative team culture while ensuring delivery remains focused, transparent and aligned with the organisation’s governance requirements. The role is not simply about managing a plan; it is about creating the conditions in which a team can perform effectively, identifying obstacles early, encouraging continuous improvement and helping people learn from what they do.
You will oversee delivery progress, capacity and financial tracking, providing clear visibility to senior stakeholders and the wider programme. You will help the team prioritise its backlog, monitor progress against agreed outcomes, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure issues and impediments are addressed promptly. The role will also involve coordinating with other internal teams and external suppliers where delivery relies on shared services, integrations or specialist capabilities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A key part of the position will be supporting an enduring team model, guiding colleagues through the complete delivery lifecycle — from discovery and prioritisation through to implementation and live service. You will encourage a strong focus on feedback and learning, helping the team regularly review how it works and experiment with improvements. You will also contribute to wider workstream activities, ensuring there is appropriate transparency, effective governance and alignment across related teams.
Working across the wider organisation, you will help ensure delivery remains consistent with product strategy and architectural direction while promoting a secure-by-design approach. Building strong relationships will be essential, as you will work with stakeholders at different levels, both internally and with external partners, to maintain alignment and create the conditions for successful delivery.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of delivering complex change within financial services or another regulated environment. You should be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams and managing projects involving areas such as system integration, data migration and transition into live service. Experience across both agile and more traditional waterfall delivery approaches will be valuable, as will strong organisational, communication and stakeholder-management skills.

The successful candidate will be confident building effective teams and networks, managing competing priorities and bringing structure to complex delivery environments. Familiarity with Atlassian products or similar planning and collaboration platforms is also desirable. Experience of credit, lending or financial crime processes and associated digital services would be advantageous, although it is not essential. We are particularly interested in people who demonstrate an outcome-focused approach, a growth mindset and a genuine interest in improving how teams deliver change. Relevant agile or project management qualifications would also be welcomed.
Application
If you are considering a move but do not meet every requirement listed above, we would still encourage you to apply. We value transferable experience, different perspectives and the potential to grow into a role just as much as a perfect match against a checklist.
