Digital Delivery Manager - Inside IR35
About the Role
On behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), we are seeking a Digital Delivery Manager inside IR35 for a 6-month contract based in Corsham, working in a hybrid setup.
About the MOD
The MOD is a central government department dedicated to protecting our country, ensuring its security and independence, and promoting its values and interests abroad. It is one of the largest public procurement organisations in Europe, managing approximately £20 billion of spend annually on capital investments in equipment and infrastructure. Over the next decade, the MOD plans to invest over £190 billion in equipment and support.
Role Overview
As a Digital Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading, motivating, and supporting multidisciplinary delivery teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. You will drive delivery momentum, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Create an environment that enables teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Identify and remove blockers, risks, and impediments to delivery
- Drive delivery momentum and ensure teams remain focused on priorities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and encourage continuous improvement
- Coach and mentor team members in Agile and Lean principles and practices
- Manage dependencies across internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support effective planning activities and provide delivery confidence
- Monitor progress, manage issues, and ensure successful delivery of services
- Help teams measure, evaluate, and improve performance and outcomes
- Contribute to the successful delivery of products throughout their lifecycle

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Digital Delivery Manager, Agile Delivery Manager, Senior Delivery Manager, or similar
- Strong understanding of Agile and Lean delivery methodologies
- Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams
- Ability to manage complex risks, issues, and dependencies
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and communicating effectively across technical and business audiences
- Strong planning, prioritisation, and delivery management skills
- Experience driving continuous improvement and embedding Agile best practice
- Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments
- Experience working with third-party suppliers and commercial partners
Desirable Experience
- Government, Defence, or wider Public Sector experience
- Experience working within a Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) environment
- Knowledge of GDS frameworks and service lifecycle delivery
- Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance
- Experience working on large-scale digital transformation programmes
