Role Overview
Sewell Construction is looking for a Digital Design Coordinator to join our Design Management Team in Hull. Working across Sewell Construction and Illingworth & Gregory, you will connect pre-construction thinking with practical project delivery across Yorkshire.
You will be involved from the earliest stages of a project, helping our bid teams bring their ideas to life through 3D visualisations, digital content and engaging bid collateral. You will help combine project programmes with digital models to produce 4D planning outputs, making proposed construction sequences easier to understand and communicate.
But your work will not stop when the project reaches site. You will work alongside our project and site management teams to turn 3D models into practical construction tools. This will include preparing models for site use, utilising augmented reality applications and helping colleagues embed digital technology in planning, coordination and delivery.
You will also help us develop and deliver content for our Digital Construction Academy, creating content and supporting colleagues to inspire the next generation of the construction industry.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
