DDC Solutions
DDC Solutions is a digital design and construction consultancy. We work with contractors, developers, architects and engineers to get the information behind their projects under control - so that what gets built is backed by data that is accurate, coordinated, delivered on the dates promised, and still useful years after handover.
We are often brought in as technicians. That is not what we are. Our real value is business and project risk management, delivered through technology, standards, process and training. A client who works with us should end up measurably less exposed - to rework, to disputes, to failed handovers, and to the obligations the Building Safety Act now places on them.
We are a small, senior, deliberately international team working across the UK, Colombia and Pakistan. We give people real autonomy over how they organise their week. In return we expect one thing without exception: deadlines met, at high quality. That is the foundation everything else at DDC is built on.
The Role
You will manage digital design and information delivery across our client portfolio - the programme it runs to, the standards it is produced against, the team that produces it, and whether it lands on the dates we have committed to.
This is a management role. You will not be producing the models yourself, but you will need enough technical depth to interrogate what the team produces, judge whether it is fit to issue, and hold a design team to account when it is not.
You will hold a portfolio of UK clients as their senior point of contact for project information, coordinate a delivery team working across several time zones, and own the disciplines that make this work: delivery planning, quality control, scope and change, and clean reporting back into the business. You will report to the Director.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Design and information delivery
- Owning the ISO 19650 information management function across live projects: EIR, BEP pre and post appointment, MIDP, TIDP and responsibility matrices
- Planning information delivery against the construction programme and holding it to the agreed dates
- Overseeing data drops and information exchanges, including federated model delivery and structured asset data
- Running the common data environment properly - suitability codes, approval gates, revision control and auditable sign-off
- Coordinating design information across architectural, structural and building services disciplines, and managing the clash and coordination process
- Governing COBie and asset information delivery from requirement through to verified handover

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Quality and standards
- Owning the quality process - validation checks, delivery checklists, and defining what good looks like so it does not depend on who did the work
- Reviewing and approving deliverables before they are issued to a client
- Holding the line on standards when a project is under pressure. This is the part that is actually difficult
Client ownership
- Senior point of contact for a portfolio of UK clients: main contractors, developers and design practices
- Chairing client reviews, information management workshops and progress meetings
- Producing and maintaining a live delivery strategy per client
- Articulating risk to clients in business terms rather than technical ones
- Identifying scope change early, pricing it fairly, and having the conversation before the work is done rather than after
Team and delivery
- Coordinating a distributed delivery team across several time zones - allocating work, setting expectations and checking output
- Planning capacity and knowing, week by week, whether we can meet what we have promised
- Mentoring and developing team members, and inducting new starters into our standards
Commercial and reporting
- Tracking delivery against fee and understanding where projects make money
- Owning the monthly client reporting cycle and the inputs to invoicing
- Maintaining the contract register and supporting renewal conversations
What We Are Looking For
Essential
- A degree in architecture, construction, engineering or a related built environment discipline
- Substantial experience in design management, BIM coordination or information management on live construction projects, with real responsibility for delivery
- Working command of the ISO 19650 suite applied in practice rather than quoted
- Experience planning and delivering information against a construction programme, through to handover
- Experience coordinating design information across disciplines and managing the resulting clashes and queries
- Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks sufficient to interrogate and challenge the work
- Confident with common data environments: Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Viewpoint for Projects or Asite
- Experience owning client relationships, including difficult conversations about scope, programme and quality
- Experience leading or coordinating a team
- Strong written English. A great deal of this role is writing clearly to clients
- Organised to the point of being slightly unreasonable about it

Desirable
- Practical experience of COBie and structured asset information delivery
- ISO 9001 and running a quality management system in anger
- Building Safety Act 2022 and the golden thread obligations it creates
- IFC workflows and model checking tools such as Solibri
- Preparing clients for third party assessment or accreditation
- UK residential developers or main contractors
- Working with offshore or distributed delivery teams
- A second language. Much of our team works in Spanish
- Working towards chartered status with a relevant professional body
The Kind of Person This Suits
Someone comfortable being the most organised person in the room, who does not need permission to fix something. Someone who can tell a client they are wrong, politely, with evidence. Someone who would rather own an outcome than complete a task list.
If you want to be told what to do each morning, this is not the role. If you want to run something properly and be trusted to do it, it is.
What We Offer
- Real autonomy over how you organise your time. We do not have a culture of asking permission to go to the dentist
- Direct access to the Director and genuine influence over how the business runs
- A senior role in a growing consultancy, with scope to shape the operation rather than inherit it finished
- An international team and international work
- Investment in training and professional development
Location
London based, hybrid, with regular travel to client offices and sites across the UK. Full time, permanent.
How to Apply
Send a CV and a short covering note explaining one project where you improved how design information was managed, and what difference it made.
