Job Title: Digital Designer

Contract Type: Permanent

Office Based: Holborn, London | Hybrid working, 3 days a week in the office

At Whitbread, we're looking for a Mid-weight Digital Designer to join the Premier Inn Design & Production team. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape creative work for one of the UK's most recognisable brands, delivering compelling digital campaigns and customer communications across a wide range of channels.

Working across Brand Marketing, CRM, Ecommerce, Product & Propositions, External Communications and Social, you'll create customer-focused design solutions that connect with audiences and support commercial objectives. From developing concepts and campaign assets to creating animations and motion graphics, you'll play a key role in delivering distinctive creative work that enhances the Premier Inn brand experience.

What you'll be doing:

  • Create engaging digital design solutions across email, CRM, social media, display advertising, web and other digital channels.
  • Develop creative concepts and visual routes that bring brand campaigns and customer communications to life.
  • Design and produce static and animated assets, using motion and storytelling to increase engagement and impact.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across Brand Marketing, CRM, Ecommerce, Product & Propositions, External Comms and Social teams to deliver effective creative solutions.
  • Translate briefs into high-quality, customer-focused creative that supports business objectives and reflects customer needs.
  • Apply and champion Premier Inn brand guidelines whilst identifying fresh and relevant ways to evolve creative execution.
  • Present creative ideas and rationale confidently, responding positively to feedback and refining work as required.
  • Support campaign delivery from initial concept through to production-ready assets.
  • Contribute to creative reviews, trend research, competitor analysis and team critique sessions.
  • Help develop templates, toolkits and motion design principles that improve efficiency and consistency across the brand.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality digital design in an in-house or agency environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing brand campaigns, digital creative and motion graphics.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, imagery, visual hierarchy and design principles, with experience creating assets across email, CRM, social, display and web channels.
  • Animation and motion design skills, with the ability to develop concepts and bring ideas to life through engaging storytelling across multiple formats and touchpoints.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with commercial objectives, translating briefs into customer-focused creative that drives results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting work, explaining creative rationale and collaborating across a range of teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, collaborative and self-sufficient approach, comfortable taking ownership whilst contributing to a close-knit creative team.
