About You

Are you a Digital Designer who knows how to create content that stops the scroll, captures attention and delivers results?

We are growing our Marketing team and creating a brand-new Digital Designer role at McCarthy & Stone. Working from our Bournemouth Head Office for at least three days a week, this is your opportunity to help shape how an established brand shows up across paid media, social, web and digital channels.

Think paid social, motion, video, digital campaigns and content - with plenty of variety and the opportunity to take ideas from initial concept through to finished creative.

You will bring around three to five years' agency or in-house experience and a portfolio that demonstrates what you can do across digital advertising, social, video and motion. You will be highly confident using Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects, with experience of Figma or similar digital design tools.

But we are looking for more than technical capability. You will be curious about what works and why - using campaign performance, testing and insight to develop new ideas, challenge the creative and make the next piece of content even better.

You will also be excited by what is next, exploring AI-assisted creative tools and emerging technology to create smarter, faster and more engaging content.

We will give you:

Financial:

  • Competitive salary
  • Company Pension Scheme
  • Life Assurance
  • Professional subscriptions paid for

Lifestyle, Health & Wellbeing:

  • 24 days annual leave (rising to 28) plus Bank Holidays
  • Holiday Purchase Scheme
  • 2 fully paid volunteering days per year, supported by the McCarthy & Stone Foundation
  • Remote GP and 24/7 access to Employee Assistance Programme services, including counsellors and legal advisors
  • Eyecare voucher
  • Colleague Benefit Booklet with a range of discounts, offers and promotions
  • Family Friendly Policies

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
