Director, Planning (Digital)

Based in London, this role sits within our EMEA team and offers the opportunity to shape digital partnership strategies across multiple markets. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, execution and optimisation of direct digital partnership strategies across EMEA, ensuring activity aligns with client objectives and KPIs.
  • Develop strategic, insight-led partnership recommendations using data, research and analytics to inform partner selection and maximise campaign performance.
  • Identify and unlock innovative partnership opportunities across the evolving digital media landscape, including opportunities that extend into TV, BVOD and cross-channel activations.
  • Build strong, trusted client relationships, confidently presenting strategies, recommendations and performance narratives.
  • Work closely with Strategy, Analytics, Investment, Programmatic and Client Account Management teams to deliver connected, integrated media solutions.
  • Collaborate with global and local market teams to assess opportunities, ensure regional relevance and deliver seamless execution across EMEA.
  • Ensure direct partnerships complement always-on programmatic activity and broader media strategies.
  • Oversee team output, workload and resourcing while supporting the ongoing development and progression of team members.
  • Champion digital planning best practice and share knowledge across the wider team to continuously improve the quality of our work.
  • Stay ahead of emerging platforms, formats, technologies and industry trends, bringing fresh thinking and new opportunities to both clients and colleagues.
  • Work closely with Investment teams to maximise value, efficiencies and strong commercial outcomes.

Key Skills

  • Significant experience within digital media and partnerships, ideally developing and managing multi-market strategies across EMEA.
  • Strong knowledge of the EMEA digital landscape, including key media partners, platforms, emerging trends and brand safety principles.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent client communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to operate as a trusted senior advisor.
  • Experience developing integrated marketing and communications plans across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong understanding of digital planning, research and campaign management/ad-serving technologies.
  • Proven experience managing projects from initial strategy through to execution, optimisation and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership and people development skills, with the ability to motivate teams and deliver consistently high-quality work.
  • A collaborative approach and proven ability to work effectively across multiple teams, markets and disciplines.
  • A passion for innovation and a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities within the evolving media landscape.
  • B2B client experience would be advantageous.
