Digital Employee Experience Strategy Manager

Contract: 12 Months
Rate: £850-£980 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Reading (Hybrid – 1 or 2 days per week in the office)
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance required

The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Digital Employee Experience (DEX) Strategy Manager to lead the development of an enterprise-wide Digital Employee Experience strategy for a major transformation programme within a highly secure environment.

This is a strategic consultancy role focused on defining how technology, people, processes and support services come together to deliver a seamless, secure and engaging employee experience. Working with senior stakeholders across IT, HR, Security and the wider business, you'll assess the current landscape, define the future vision and create a clear roadmap that improves productivity, collaboration and digital adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of the current Digital Employee Experience across the employee lifecycle.
  • Evaluate existing workplace technologies including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Power Platform, SAP and Identity & Access Management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, collaboration and employee engagement.
  • Develop an enterprise Digital Employee Experience strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Define governance, operating models, ownership and success measures.
  • Benchmark organisational maturity against industry best practice and recognised DEX frameworks.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Digital, HR, Security, Communications and Business functions to drive strategic change.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience developing and delivering enterprise-wide Digital Employee Experience or Digital Workplace strategies.
  • Strong background leading digital workplace or modern workplace transformation programmes.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, target operating models and strategic roadmaps.
  • Expertise with Microsoft 365 technologies, including Teams, SharePoint and the wider M365 ecosystem.
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Strong understanding of employee experience, digital adoption, collaboration and workplace productivity.
  • Experience assessing organisational maturity and producing strategic recommendations.
