Digital Engineer (CAD) | Watford | 40k to 45k
A growing engineering consultancy in Watford is looking for a CAD and GIS focused Digital Engineer to join a close knit team delivering major infrastructure projects across rail and surface transport.
If you have some GIS and FME experience alongside strong CAD skills, this is a great place to build on them. The team values aptitude and the right attitude, so it suits someone eager to keep developing their digital and data skills on major projects.
About the role
You will:
- Produce and coordinate high quality 2D and 3D CAD deliverables across infrastructure projects
- Use GIS and data tools to manage, transform and improve project information
- Support BIM and digital engineering requirements, including 3D modelling and data workflows
- Create, manage and maintain engineering models and design information
- Work within Common Data Environments to manage engineering information
- Collaborate with engineering, design and project teams to drive efficient delivery

What we are looking for
- 3D modelling and AutoCAD experience
- GIS experience (ArcGIS, Esri, QGIS or similar)
- FME or similar data automation and transformation tools
- Strong attention to detail and information management skills
- Good communication and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable
- CAD experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, rail or highways
- Experience on rail or Transport for London projects
- Exposure to point cloud data, survey or drone work
- Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise, OpenRoads, MicroStation or Revit
- Knowledge of BIM and ISO 19650 information management standards
The details
- Salary: 40k to 45k depending on experience
- Two stage interview, Teams followed by face to face
- 4 days per week in the office
- Watford based
