About The Role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Engineering Coordinator to join our team on our A66 Highways Project.
As a Digital Engineering Coordinator you will support Digital Engineering delivery for the A66 project across internal and external disciplines, ensuring that the Project Information Model is accurate, assured, coordinated and aligned with contractual information requirements.
The role supports the Project Information Manager / Digital Engineering Manager in:
- Implementing the project digital strategy
- Managing the Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Maintaining compliant digital outputs that support design reviews, construction planning, risk management and informed decision-making
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate the production, integration, federation and assurance of project models and associated digital information across disciplines.
- Support the management of the Project Information Model in line with contractual information requirements, the BEP, MIDP/TIDP, project data structures and ISO 19650 principles.
- Support 3D coordination, design reviews, clash detection workflows, issue tracking, coordination meetings and resolution reporting.
- Assist with setup, monitoring and ongoing management of the CDE, including workflows, metadata, information structuring and compliant information exchange.
- Help ensure discipline models and data are current, appropriately coordinated and available for project use, reducing the risk of clashes, rework and inconsistencies.
- Support programme alignment and model-based planning activities, including 4D planning support where required.
- Produce and maintain coordination outputs such as dashboards, model review reports, issue logs and digital delivery trackers.
- Support training, upskilling and day-to-day guidance for internal teams, supply chain members and project users to drive consistent adoption of digital processes and the CDE.
- Engage with client, design and supply chain stakeholders to help ensure Digital Engineering deliverables meet project and contractual requirements.
- Promote efficient, compliant and coordinated delivery of digital outputs throughout the project lifecycle, including support to as-built and handover information where required.

Who we're looking for
- Previous experience in a Digital Engineering, BIM, Information Management or project delivery coordination role within an infrastructure, construction or design environment.
- Able to manage and prioritise own workload, with the ability to coordinate others where required.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across project teams and supply chain partners.
- Solid understanding of ISO 19650 principles, BIM Framework standards, BEP, MIDP/TIDP and structured information management requirements.
- Working knowledge of CDE processes, information workflows, model review processes and issue management.
- Experience in 3D model coordination, model federation, design review and clash detection workflows.
- Ability to support 4D planning/model-based programme coordination and model-based reporting where required.
- Ability to deliver training and support to the wider project team in Digital Engineering processes, tools and standards.
- Ability to work to project deadlines while maintaining quality, accuracy and compliance of digital information.
- Understanding of health, safety and quality expectations and a commitment to supporting Zero Harm through better information, coordination and decision-making.
