Overview

The focus of this role is to provide product leadership across the Engineering Delivery Partnership (EDP) Digital Engineering programme. The Digital Engineering Product Manager is accountable for defining the future direction, roadmap, business value and adoption strategy for the programme, ensuring delivery activity remains aligned to customer needs and business priorities.

Working alongside the Technical Lead, who is responsible for delivery of the current technical work packages, the Product Manager focuses more on providing the customer facing and future focused leadership for the programme. The role is responsible for developing capability roadmaps, managing dependencies, driving adoption and change, securing investment approvals, and ensuring alignment with enabling programmes such as Forge and other strategic initiatives.

The role ensures the programme delivers immediate value whilst maintaining a clear path towards longer-term transformation objectives.

Product Leadership

  • Own and maintain the Digital Engineering capability roadmap.
  • Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategic direction for the programme.
  • Translate customer needs, operational challenges and business priorities into clear future capability requirements.
  • Prioritise capability development initiatives based on value, impact, dependencies and investment constraints.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure the roadmap remains achievable, coherent and aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for extension and reuse across wider EDP, Air, Defence and QinetiQ initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
