Digital Forensic Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Digital Forensic Analyst to join an established Digital Forensics team. You will work across a varied caseload involving computer and mobile device forensics, including complex investigations where professional or expert evidence may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out digital forensic examinations across computers, mobile devices, and other digital media.
  • Manage cases from instruction through to completion, producing clear and accurate forensic reports.
  • Undertake complex and bespoke forensic analysis.
  • Conduct peer reviews of standard and complex casework.
  • Support and mentor less experienced analysts.
  • Assist with client meetings, technical scoping, and training.
  • Contribute to quality, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Undertake occasional off-site or international examinations where required.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience within Digital Forensics.
  • Good knowledge of computer and/or mobile forensic techniques.
  • Experience using recognized digital forensic tools and software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of ISO 17025, the FSR Code of Practice, and relevant forensic standards.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Digital Forensics, Computer Science, IT, or a related subject is preferred, or an HND/HNC combined with relevant Digital Forensics experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' UK residency.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass required security vetting.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel.
