Digital Forensic Senior Analyst, London

THE ROLE
The successful candidate will play an important role in the delivery of forensic investigations in S-RM’s Digital Forensics team. They will bring in-depth technical expertise combined with strong communication skills to contribute to the delivery of complex investigations.
The key areas of responsibility will be:
- Perform forensic preservation of digital evidence in accordance with best practice and recognised standards, maintaining chain of custody, and contemporaneous record keeping.
- Conduct in-depth forensic analysis across a wide range of digital sources; including but not limited to Windows, Linux and MacOS computers, iOS and Android mobile devices, enterprise and personal cloud platforms, and proprietary applications.
- Lead the ongoing management and maintenance of the Digital Forensics lab.
- Deliver clear, concise, and defensible findings through high-quality written reports and verbal briefings, including responding to questions from senior stakeholders.
- Provide technical and operational support to senior members of the Digital Forensics team, including coordination with colleagues responsible for tooling and infrastructure.

- Research and testing: Conduct in-depth research and testing of new technologies, devices and platforms as part of investigations that are bespoke in nature and involve novel technologies.
- Practice development: Supporting internal initiatives to improve the knowledge, capabilities, and efficiencies in our Digital Forensics lab.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are likely to succeed as a Senior Analyst at S-RM.

We’re looking for:
Experience and background
Technical experience, with a minimum of 3 years experience, in a Digital Forensics lab environment, including demonstratable understanding and experience of:
- Forensic preservation methodologies, chain of custody, and contemporaneous record keeping;
- Windows, Linux and MacOS forensic acquisition and analysis;
- iOS and Android forensic acquisition and analysis;
- Third-party applications such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal;
- Cloud-based evidence such as iCloud, Google, and social media platforms.
Experience conducting investigations in hosted cloud environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and AWS) is beneficial.
Works independently in the use of a range of forensic tools including Cellebrite, Oxygen, AXIOM, X-Ways, FTK, etc.
Experience writing forensic reports including methodologies, technical findings, and conclusions.
Regularly interacts with legal counsel and/or external senior stakeholders.

The role will be based in our London office with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
