Job Title: Digital Graduate Trainee

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate in Digital, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related field to gain hands-on experience across the full breadth of a successful e-commerce business. As a Digital Graduate Trainee, you will work on a structured 12-month programme that provides exposure to the key functions that drive online growth and customer satisfaction.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position working 38 hours a week and is based on site, in Elgin. The role will generally involve working Monday to Friday; however, during peak periods, you will be required to work 5 days out of 7, including weekends. Salary for this role is £26,577 per annum.

About the Role

Working closely with Operations, Digital Marketing, and the Onsite E-commerce Team, you will develop practical skills and build a broad understanding of how each department contributes to commercial success. The role is designed for someone with a genuine passion for digital commerce who is eager to learn, contribute, and develop their career. You will support day-to-day business activity, work alongside experienced colleagues, and gain valuable insight into customer service, logistics, digital marketing, website management, merchandising, analytics, and customer experience. By the end of the programme, you will have developed a strong foundation in the skills, processes, and technologies that underpin a Digital team.

The key responsibilities will include:

Digital Marketing Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Assist with reporting, analytics, and performance monitoring using digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Work with channels such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, and other relevant digital marketing platforms.
  • Help prepare performance reports and identify trends, opportunities, and insights.
  • Support content creation, campaign execution, and promotional activity.
  • Learn how digital marketing activity contributes to traffic, conversion, and revenue growth.

Onsite E-commerce Responsibilities

  • Support website content updates and merchandising activities.
  • Assist with product launches, category management, and promotional set-up.
  • Contribute to improvements in customer experience, usability, and on-site conversion.
  • Gain exposure to web design and website development processes.
  • Work with the e-commerce team to maintain accurate product information and content.
  • Support testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives across the website.

Operations Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Support order fulfilment targets and contribute to excellent operational performance.
  • Provide high-quality customer service through email, telephone, and digital channels.
  • Personalise scarves, throws, and other products through embroidery and customisation services, maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Assist with stock handling, inventory management, and operational processes.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve fulfilment efficiency and customer experience.

About you

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Recently graduated in Digital, E-commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Is organised, proactive, and able to manage a varied workload across multiple departments.
  • Is curious and enthusiastic about learning every aspect of a digital and e-commerce business.
  • Has a positive attitude, is self-motivated, and eager to take ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Is receptive to feedback, direction, and mentorship, with a desire for continuous development.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Is comfortable using digital tools and keen to develop technical and commercial knowledge.
