About AdventureYogi

AdventureYogi is a pioneering, purpose-led adventure yoga retreat company established in 2006. We believe in a healthy lifestyle to live well. We believe in self-discovery: a journey and an adventure, not just in the world we experience, but within ourselves, in a fun way.

We are well-established, have a lot of loyal returning guests, and are rated 5 stars by the people who join us across 25+ different locations each year. We are still growing and diversifying.

We’re a small, passionate, fast-moving team based in Hove. The team genuinely cares, not because they have to, but because the world of wellness, travel, a healthy lifestyle and community is something they’re personally invested in and feel inspired by a purpose-driven business. The founder is still directly involved after 20 years.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager with a growth mindset who brings both sides: the analytical rigour to understand what’s working and what isn’t across every channel, and the creative instinct to act on it. You’ll report directly to the founder and have real autonomy. Everyone at AY has an entrepreneurial mindset, and your ideas will be heard, debated, and acted on. You’ll be the most senior marketing person in the business, and the team will look to you to set future direction.

What You’ll Do

Strategy & Growth

  • Own the marketing strategy across all channels: paid, organic, SEO/GEO, email, content, retreat teams, brand collabs, PR and influencer PR
  • Understand sales trends and behaviour throughout the year to create a proactive marketing funnel: building a content and campaign calendar that plans while being reactive to global factors
  • Bring a startup mentality: test, learn, iterate, be confident to bring ideas and growth strategies to the table and then take them on to implement and delegate. Initiative and self-leadership are key to success at Adventure Yogi
  • Work to your scorecard and KPI’s with a clear idea of what targets you need to hit

Data & Analytics

  • Own our marketing data: GA4, email marketing metrics, paid channel performance, social analytics and turn it into clear, actionable decisions, while working with the sales team
  • Be able to ideate, create and update reports to create a well-rounded analysis of the marketing function
  • Build a regular reporting rhythm so we always know what’s working, what isn’t, and why. Join weekly meetings with the sales manager to analyse data
  • Build on the analysis of the tracking and attribution so we understand which channels are actually driving bookings and strategies to improve channels that are not performing as well as they could
  • Understand the marketing funnel to create goals around conversion rate, acquisition cost, and more

Agency Management

  • Manage our Meta ads, Google Ads, PR and SEO/GEO agencies and hold them accountable on CPA, ROAS and AI visibility
  • You don’t need to run paid ads yourself, but you need to understand the data and have experience managing ad accounts/agencies (Meta and Google) so you can work with them to create strategies, creatives, and copy that sells
  • Evaluate agency performance regularly and make recommendations on how to improve
  • Create on-brand copywriting in wellness, active adventure and travel to appeal to our target audience
  • Create an annual ads strategy based on lead times, retreat destinations and budgets, using testing and refinement strategies, and work with the ad agency to implement and improve it
  • Work with the website agency and internal team to constantly improve SEO/GEO

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Email Marketing

  • Have experience managing email marketing strategy: Focusing on engaging and growing a mailing list that converts
  • Bring customer behaviour instincts and an understanding of what makes people open, read and act
  • Oversee segmentation, automation flows and campaign planning, and manage implementation through the team
  • Build on our A/B testing strategy so that every newsletter teaches us something

Content Strategy & Copywriting

  • Develop a content strategy that builds the AdventureYogi brand, drives organic reach, and supports the sales funnel
  • Bring strong copywriting skills, particularly for email, social and campaign copy, with a sharp sense of tone of voice and what feels on-brand
  • Support and guide the social executive on content creation, ensuring quality, consistency and strategic alignment
  • Oversee brand collaborations and influencer partnerships: setting the strategy and ensuring activity ties back to commercial goals

AI & Automation

  • Use AI tools mindfully across your work
  • Build on the work we have already done to embed AI into the marketing department's day-to-day processes. Streamline how we work without losing our tone of voice
  • Support the marketing team to streamline their roles with automation
  • Stay current with how AI is changing SEO, paid search, and organic channels, and have experience integrating it into marketing strategies

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage the social executive: set priorities, review work, develop their skills, and help them grow
  • Work closely with the product manager on SEO/GEO strategy and implementation
  • Work closely with the sales manager to communicate sold-out retreats and sell last-minute retreats reactively
  • Manage our web agency and developer for brand consistency and keep the website up to date.
  • Set up processes and report to the Founder weekly

Who You Are

Qualifications

  • You have a degree in marketing, advertising, business, or mass communications, or a CIM diploma level 6 or above, or equivalent
  • You have 5–7+ years of marketing experience across multiple channels, and you’re a generalist who can focus on one area more deeply when necessary
  • You’re data-driven, not just comfortable with numbers but genuinely excited by what they reveal. You’ve introduced proper tracking and reporting somewhere before and made it stick
  • You are a creative who loves the challenge of coming up with new marketing strategies to increase our brand awareness, reach and conversions
  • You’re a strong copywriter with a natural sense of tone; you can write an email subject line that gets opened and Meta ad copy that feels on-brand and human
  • You understand paid media well enough to manage and challenge agencies on Meta, Google Ads and SEO/GEO, even if you’re not running campaigns yourself, although experience of this is a bonus
  • You actively use AI tools in your work and can demonstrate how they’ve made you faster, smarter or more effective
  • You’ve managed people and know the difference between delegating and developing.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving, startup-style environment and you’re energised by change, not exhausted by it
  • You’ve faced genuinely difficult situations at work; a campaign that bombed, a rebrand that went sideways, a crisis that needed managing (covid/fuel shortages), and you rose to it rather than ran from it
  • You have a growth mindset in the truest sense: hungry to learn, honest about what you don’t know, and always looking for a better way
  • You connect with the wellness, yoga and travel world; you don’t need to be a practising yogi, but you need to understand why people genuinely seek out experiences like ours
  • You have a technical streak, are comfortable in the back end of platforms, and are curious about how things work under the hood
  • You have experience at a travel, yoga, wellness, retreat, adventure holiday company or lifestyle brand
  • You understand Yoga, plant-based food, and healthy lifestyles; love yoga, practise it, and have been on retreats
