About the Role

The core purpose of the role is to launch and grow eyejourney, a novel and innovative patient education tool capable of handling all ophthalmic procedures - www.eyejourney.ai

This remote role will be responsible for the account management of existing key accounts and the identification and development of new accounts in both the US & EU with some local travel to team meetings. Working with an established sales and marketing team within Europe and North America, this is an opportunity for someone ambitious and motivated to make their mark in the global digital health business.

This role would be ideal for an experienced salesperson looking to develop and grow within an exciting new role. The ideal candidate would be based in South East England or within travel distance of Manchester.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities within the ophthalmic medical device sector.
  • Effectively communicate the value of eyejourney - highlighting ROI, efficiency improvements, enhanced consent processes, patient engagement, and cost savings.
  • Deliver polished, demo-driven presentations using Teams (or other platforms).
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with decision-makers across regions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing, including CRM tracking.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams.
  • Capture market insights and feedback to inform product and sales strategy.
  • Represent eyejourney at industry webinars, virtual conferences, or events as needed.
  • Interacting with key accounts on an international level.
  • Provision of support to key accounts in data analysis of insights.
  • Lead generation of new key accounts.
  • Management of the external marketing inbox (review and distribute within the team).
  • Develop relationships with KOLs and key accounts to contribute towards share of voice within both print and podium outlets to drive interest and sales.

What Experience & Skills You Will Need

  • Proven experience in a sales role in Ophthalmology (additional experience in SaaS/technology solutions is advantageous).
  • Hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree in business/innovation/entrepreneurship/digital health/life science or a related subject.
  • Strong, demonstrable experience in self-starting, agile and fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding complex needs of customers and the ability to take action upon them.
  • Experience working within digital health would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong IT literacy, Microsoft package skills (including Teams), CRM, and productivity tools.
  • Able to communicate value-based offerings effectively in a face-to-face environment.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
  • Empathetic, consultative approach with strong listening skills.
  • Analytical mindset—able to present ROI and clinical benefits persuasively.
