Digital Learning & Development Lead (3-Month Contract, 3 Days/Week)
September–October 2026 | Hybrid | Hearing Dogs for Deaf People
We’re building a new digital learning capability from the ground up — and we’re looking for an experienced Learning & Development professional to lead it.
Under the DDaT Operating Model, the organisation is launching tiered digital, data, AI and cyber-skills pathways, with a mandatory cyber security education programme due for delivery in Nov/Dec 2026. No internal training function exists yet. This role creates that capability during the initiation window, working closely with People & Culture.

What You’ll Lead
- Design and build a digital, data, AI and cyber skills training programme for staff and volunteers.
- Prioritise delivery of the mandatory cyber security education programme for Nov/Dec 2026 go-live.
- Partner with People & Culture on change-adoption mobilisation (SP10-WP01).
- Establish modular, role-relevant learning pathways aligned to the DDaT Operating Model.
- Recommend approaches for LMS use, compliance tracking, onboarding, and long-term capability growth.
What You Bring
Essential:
- Background in Learning & Development or training design, ideally including digital or cyber-security education.
- Experience designing modular or blended learning programmes from scratch, to tight timelines.
- Ability to work effectively at 3 days/week within a small, stretched internal team.

Desirable:
- Experience embedding mandatory compliance training (cyber, GDPR, etc.) in a charity or regulated environment.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and change-adoption methodologies.
