Organisation Overview

Pro Ref is entering a new and exciting era as we strive to continue enhancing refereeing standards. Pro Ref manage and develop the 600 Match Officials operating in the elite game in England and are building a broader, highly-skilled workforce to provide the best possible wrap-around support available to aid officials’ performance for the benefit of the game.

Role Purpose

The Digital Learning Coordinator will support the Head of Digital Learning and Content Creation to deliver the Digital Learning strategy through the day-to-day management of the LMS, development of eLearning materials, and multimedia content development.

Main Duties

  • Development of Digital Learning Assets

    • Work as part of the Digital Learning coordinator team to produce digital learning assets in line with the content development process and timelines
    • Working individually on identified projects in the design and development of digital resources, courses and materials and create interactive or rich-media digital content that is engaging and accessible.
    • Link with internal and external Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the provision of source content
    • Support the delivery of a programme of interactive webinars to deliver training content in line with the Key Performance Characteristics
  • Operational Support

    • Providing support to users raising technical support queries via the general mailbox, as directed by the Head of Digital Learning and Content Creation
    • Working alongside the Operations team to support business projects where there is crossover with digital learning, including system changes and developments
    • Coordinating module enrolments & technical user queries
    • Support the recording, data collection and reporting of key training activities across all the digital training curriculum

  • Embedding Innovation
    • Contribute to the discovery, development, and implementation of new learning & development processes and technologies
    • Actively engage in the learning technology community to stay abreast of the latest research and developments in online learning

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of learning resource development, delivery and support including remote, in-person, digital and blended learning
  • Experience in working with a Learning Management System (LMS) and how to optimise its use to maximise learning
  • An ability to work closely with subject matter experts in the development of high-quality digital learning opportunities
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines under direction, whilst retaining the ability to exercise initiative where appropriate
  • Proactive and service/improvement-oriented approach
  • Proven ability to work effectively in teams

Knowledge

  • Understanding of pedagogy and the principles of adult learning and how they relate to the development of digital learning
  • Understanding of instructional design and the principles behind the development of effective digital learning

  • Strong IT skills to be confident to work with eLearning development software and LMS platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, with tight timelines and conflicting priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
  • Proven ability to engage with a range of people and sell the benefits of ongoing professional development
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

Desirable

  • Experience using eLearning authoring software (Articulate Rise, Storyline, Final Cut, Mighty, AI tools, etc)

  • Experience of officiating within professional football, or elite sport
  • Experience of working with audio/visual equipment or a willingness to learn
