About IRIS

IRIS Software Group is one of the UK's largest privately held software companies, trusted by 100,000+ businesses, schools and accountancy firms to keep their operations running. Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms.

We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.

At IRIS Software Group, we help businesses, schools and organisations work smarter through software. But great software only delivers real value when people understand how to use it confidently.

That’s where IRIS Academy comes in.

IRIS Academy is our online learning platform, helping customers, partners and colleagues build confidence using IRIS software. Through on-demand courses, videos and learning pathways, we help people learn at their own pace, whenever they need support.

As IRIS Academy continues to grow across more of our products, we’re looking for Content Designers / Digital Learning Designers to help us create clear, practical and engaging digital learning.

This role would suit someone who has already created learning, training, enablement, instructional or support content, ideally within a software, SaaS, technology or customer education environment.

You don’t need previous experience with IRIS products, but you do need to be confident learning complex software quickly and turning that knowledge into simple, useful learning content.

🧾 Why This Role Matters

Every day, thousands of customers rely on IRIS software to run important parts of their organisation. The learning you create will help them understand our products, complete key tasks, solve problems and get more value from the software they use.

Instead of helping one customer at a time, you’ll create content that can support thousands of learners whenever they need it.

📊 What You'll Be Doing

You’ll design and build self-paced online learning content for IRIS software products.

This will include turning technical product information, customer workflows and subject matter expertise into structured learning that helps people understand what to do, why it matters and how to do it well.

You’ll work closely with Subject Matter Experts, product specialists and stakeholders across the business to understand products, customer needs and learning outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience with tools such as Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Learning Management Systems or AI-assisted content creation would be helpful, but is not essential.
