Hybrid | Regular travel to Exeter and Bristol offices when required

We're looking for a creative and passionate Digital Learning Experience Designer to play a key role in shaping how learning happens across our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to design engaging digital learning experiences, influence capability development and help bring our learning strategy to life.

This is a hybrid role, with regular travel to our main offices in Exeter/ Bristol, typically a couple of times per week, to work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts and colleagues across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Working Collaboratively Across Pennon, You'll

  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify performance, capability and learning needs.
  • Design and develop engaging digital learning solutions, including eLearning, microlearning, videos, learning pathways, assessments and performance support resources.
  • Use Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise, and other digital tools to create high-quality learning experiences.
  • Turn complex or technical information into simple, relevant and engaging content.
  • Apply instructional design, visual design and accessibility principles to create inclusive learning experiences.
  • Manage projects from concept and design through to build, launch and evaluation.
  • Use learner feedback and engagement data to continuously enhance learning effectiveness.
  • Explore and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to improve learning design and development.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines creativity with strong learning design expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional learner experiences.

Essential

  • Proven experience designing and developing engaging digital learning solutions.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning and behaviour change principles.
  • Practical experience using Articulate 360, including Storyline and Rise.
  • Strong visual and creative design skills.
  • Ability to transform complex information into engaging, learner-focused content.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills, with confidence to challenge and influence when needed.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • A curious mindset and a passion for improving learner experience through innovation, feedback and data.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to our Exeter and Bristol offices.

Desirable

  • Experience working with a Learning Experience Platform (LXP) or LMS.
  • Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI and digital learning standards.
  • Experience designing learning pathways and curating learning content.
  • Multimedia content creation skills, including video, animation or graphic design.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support learning design and content creation.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
  • Experience working in operational, regulated or safety-critical environments.
