Salary: £33,002 to £37,694 (Full-Time/Secondment Opportunity)

Information System Services (ISS) is looking for a Digital Learning Facilitator to join our Digital Learning Team. The team provides advice and guidance to staff on a range of digital technologies used in teaching and learning across the University.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of academic programmes from design through to evaluation, working closely with academic and professional services colleagues to create high-quality learning resources and online modules.
This is a fixed term role until 31st July 2027.
About The Role
You will provide advice, guidance and encouragement to support the design and development of online modules, course content and learning activities. Working collaboratively with course creators, you will help design, test and evaluate engaging digital learning experiences for students.
- Create and maintain online learning objects and resources, using feedback and usage data to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Work with digital learning tool providers and learning management systems to help ensure they continue to meet the needs of students and staff.
- Keep up to date with innovations in digital learning, sharing knowledge with colleagues across Professional Services and academic departments.
- Represent the Division and University at internal and external meetings.

The role is primarily based on the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible hybrid working options to support a positive work-life balance. We would expect a minimum of 2 days a week in the office, working flexibly to adapt to the needs of the role.
For Internal University staff, a secondment opportunity may be considered for this role. Please ensure you have agreement from your current line manager before you apply for the opportunity.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related discipline, learning technologies, or equivalent experience in a similar support role.
- Experience of working in an educational support environment, with a strong focus on providing an excellent customer experience.
- Confidence in producing clear guidance or information for different audiences.
- Effective communication skills with people at all levels of seniority and technical ability.
- Logical, systematic, and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan ahead, manage tasks, prioritise workloads, and meet competing deadlines.
