Job Overview:

The Earthshot Prize is hiring a Digital Manager to support the delivery of digital campaigns and marketing activity. This role spans website management, email marketing, content production, reporting, and platform administration. It works closely within the wider comms function with the press and social media teams to ensure Earthshot Prize’s digital presence is technically sound, editorially strong, and backed by clear data to guide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Management

  • The role owns the website development roadmap, working with the website agency to deliver optimisations, new features, UX enhancements, SEO improvements, and security fixes, coordinating with internal stakeholders so delivery aligns with major moments in the TEP calendar.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include content management (editing site content, posting news articles, building pages). Domain name management is also desirable to ensure key domains stay secured and properly administered.

Email Marketing

  • Owning email marketing channel end to end, using Mailchimp to build campaigns and manage automated journeys, with frequent use of multivariate testing to continually optimise performance.
  • This includes advising internally on best use of the email channel for stakeholder communications, writing/editing content, sourcing or producing imagery with our creative team, and building emails directly.

Digital Reporting

  • This role owns the reporting strategy for the communications team, ensuring team members have access to the data they need for day-to-day and long-term decisions.
  • Responsibilities include building reporting dashboards in Sprout Social, working with the Data Analytics partner on the organisation-wide reporting dashboard, and using Google Analytics to understand website engagement.
  • The role also involves producing regular reports that clearly communicate digital activity, results to stakeholders across the organisation, setting communications and digital KPIs and tracking progress against them.

Digital Platform Management

  • The role manages relationships with digital platform suppliers (including Canto, Figma, Sprout Social, Iconik, and YouScan) to ensure they remain fit for purpose and deliver value for money, supporting on contract negotiation and renewals.
  • The postholder is also a member of the internal SharePoint management team, helping ensure the platform is used effectively across the organisation.

Content and Thought Leadership Strategy Support

  • Integrated into website and email marketing is the opportunity to shape the Thought Leadership Strategy for senior leaders within the Prize.
  • Working with the Head of Communications, and you will be able to support with guidance on how best to showcase leaders across digital channels – for example across blogs, LinkedIn posts and Reddit AMAs.
  • This includes producing blog briefs and writing or editing bespoke content that reflects Earthshot Prize's brand tone of voice and messaging, optimised for the website audience.

Candidate Criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital management across website management, CRM/eNewsletter systems and analytics/reporting as core competencies
  • Proficient with WordPress CMS, able to build pages using custom modules, and comfortable with HTML and CSS
  • Proficient with MailChimp
  • Proficient in Sprout Social reporting tools and Google Analytics
  • Comfortable writing and editing copy for use across CRM and social media, with support from wider social media/comms team
  • Eagerness to work with high level leaders across the business to platform them across digital channels
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams – eg across press, social media, digital and reporting teams
  • Experienced working in Microsoft (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) for cross-team collaboration
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
