Why we need this role

Following the successful overhaul of Colt.net and a major brand refresh, an exciting opportunity has opened up within our Brand & Content team for a Digital Manager to lead, manage and optimise Colt's digital estate.

This is a high-impact role at the heart of Colt's digital presence. You'll be responsible for delivering a seamless, engaging and discoverable online experience that supports our brand and business goals.

What you will do

You'll own Colt's website strategy end-to-end, shaping performance, user experience and future direction. Working closely with colleagues across Brand, Content, Design and Digital, you'll ensure our digital platforms continue to evolve and deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning Colt's websites and associated digital properties, including content, functionality, UX, performance and roadmap planning.
  • Managing CMS updates, page creation and content publishing schedules.
  • Monitoring and optimising website performance, including speed, uptime, SEO, AEO, user engagement and conversion rates.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve user journeys, discoverability and overall digital experience.
  • Collaborating with brand designers, content specialists, and agency partners to deliver new features and enhancements when required.
  • Managing web technology platforms, budgets, tools and vendor relationships.
  • Defining, tracking and reporting key performance indicators including traffic, engagement, customer journeys and conversion metrics.
  • Translating business and stakeholder needs into a clear website development roadmap.

What we're looking for

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Web Platforms: Hands-on experience with Webflow and/or Framer is essential. As the primary technical owner of Colt's websites, you'll be confident designing, building and deploying new components independently.
  • Design & UX: Strong understanding of user-centred design principles, UX best practices and digital / Figma experience is highly desirable.
  • Technical Performance: Proven knowledge of website performance optimisation, including Google Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, image optimisation.
  • Governance & Compliance: Experience managing tag management, cookie consent platforms, accessibility standards (WCAG) and website governance.

Digital Strategy & Project Management

  • Digital Experience Strategy: Experience defining and delivering website strategies that improve user journeys, content discoverability, navigation and conversion performance.
  • Content Architecture: Ability to create scalable content structures, information architecture standards and governance models that support growth.
  • Optimisation & Personalisation: Experience delivering experimentation, optimisation and personalisation initiatives that improve outcomes.
  • AI & Marketing Workflows: Strong understanding of emerging AI-powered and agentic workflows, marketing automation ecosystems.

Discoverability & Search Optimisation

  • SEO, AEO & GEO Leadership: Deep understanding of the evolving search landscape, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
  • Content Optimisation: Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to create structured, discoverable content.
  • Structured Content & AI Search: Experience developing content strategies that improve brand visibility across traditional search, AI-powered search experiences and answer engines through discoverability.

Analytics, Reporting & Insights

  • Digital Analytics: Strong experience using Google Analytics and/or PostHog to monitor website performance.
  • Performance Measurement: Ability to define KPIs, analyse trends and identify opportunities for improvement across traffic, engagement, discoverability and conversion metrics.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Confident presenting performance insights and recommendations to a range of stakeholders, translating complex data into clear actions and business outcomes.
