Job Description

The Digital Marketer is responsible for delivering high quality, insight driven digital and omnichannel execution that amplifies brand strategy and creates seamless, meaningful customer experiences.

This role focuses on execution excellence and optimisation, owning digital channels, customer journeys, and performance measurement. Working closely with Strategic Marketing, Brand and Customer Marketing, Data & Analytics, and external partners, the Digital Marketer ensures digital activity is compliant, measurable, and continuously improved through test and learn approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute insight‑driven digital activity aligned with brand priorities to enhance customer engagement.
  • Lead, Design, map and optimise customer journeys and touchpoint planning, ensuring coordinated content and seamless orchestration across channels.
  • Manage performance, quality and optimisation of digital channels such as CRM, web, paid media and virtual events.
  • Use analytics, A/B testing and experimentation to refine execution and strengthen digital performance.
  • Localise and deploy digital assets for the UK market, ensuring quality, consistency and timely updates.
  • Feed digital insights and performance data into brand and commercial planning to support data‑driven decisions.
  • Maintain high compliance standards across all digital activity, including consent rules, data privacy and ABPI.
  • Deliver timely, high‑quality execution that reflects brand and customer strategy, maintaining accuracy and strong performance.
  • Lead relationships with external agencies and vendors, setting clear expectations, overseeing delivery against agreed SLAs, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Hold partners accountable for performance, compliance, and continuous improvement, ensuring external capability scales effectively with business needs.
  • Own and manage allocated digital marketing budgets, ensuring spend is optimised against performance, priorities, and agreed objectives.
  • Forecast digital investment and resource needs across channels and campaigns, balancing demand, capacity, and ROI.
  • Monitors spend versus plan, proactively identifying risks, efficiencies, and reallocation opportunities to maximise impact.
  • Influence and build alignment across stakeholders in complex, ambiguous, and sometimes competing situations, balancing brand, commercial, medical, regulatory, and technical considerations.
  • Confidently challenge and shape thinking, using insight and evidence to drive decisions and secure buy‑in across a matrix organisation.

Skills And Competencies Required

  • Experience delivering digital or omnichannel marketing in a complex, regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital channels, customer journeys, and marketing technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytics and experimentation to improve performance.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to quality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and customer‑centric digital experiences.

Experience Required

  • Some experience in marketing, digital execution, customer engagement or account‑based roles within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or other regulated sectors.
  • Experience managing budgets, agency partners, or external vendors within a digital or omnichannel marketing environment.
  • Proven experience delivering digital and omnichannel marketing initiatives, including customer journey development, account‑level execution, and supporting or managing congress activities.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating brand‑level or local‑market activities, such as asset localisation, field‑facing materials, or tactical execution.
  • Exposure to performance analytics, dashboards, or insight‑driven optimisation of campaigns or customer journeys.
  • Strong organisational discipline with the ability to manage multiple workflows, deliver high‑quality work, and operate within ABPI/governance requirements.
