For over 30 years, Real Life Options have grown to become a national provider of social support and empowerment for people with learning disabilities and autism to have more choice and greater control over their lives.

About the role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Digital Marketing Apprentice to join our Marketing & Communications team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in digital marketing and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of digital channels.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help deliver digital marketing activity across our websites, social media channels, email campaigns and online advertising. You'll also have opportunities to get involved in content creation, including photography and videography projects across the UK.

You occasionally be required to travel to other offices, so it would be useful if you are doing driving lessons or already a driver.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the management and updating of company websites
  • Creating and publishing digital content, including news articles, blogs and campaign materials
  • Assisting with social media planning, scheduling and reporting
  • Supporting email marketing campaigns and audience communications
  • Helping monitor website and campaign performance using analytics tools
  • Assisting with search engine optimisation (SEO) activities
  • Supporting photography and videography projects
  • Contributing to digital marketing campaigns and wider marketing initiatives
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to support communications and engagement activities

What we’re looking for:

  • A genuine interest in digital marketing and communications
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Creative, organised and proactive
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using digital technology and online platforms
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and a positive attitude

Working Week:

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week with some flexibility with regards to shift patterns e.g. 8am-4pm, 9:3am-5:30pm.

Throughout your learning journey, you are fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your mentor at work. They ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and pass your assessments, and can provide one to one support.

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day-to-day role.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 7.
