About McClures

McClures is a family-run food wholesaler with over 80 years of experience supplying the hospitality industry across the North West. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a proactive, organised and enthusiastic Digital Marketing Assistant to join our busy marketing team.

Our marketing team plays a central role in showcasing our products, sharing our brand story and supporting our customers with promotions, seasonal campaigns and new product launches. We are looking for someone who is eager to help us take our marketing to the next level.

The Role

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to develop a career in digital marketing within a fast-moving foodservice environment.

Working alongside the Head of Marketing and our Website & E-commerce Coordinator, you will help plan, deliver and report on marketing activity across all our channels.

The role blends social media management, website support, campaign coordination, analytics, email marketing and content creation, with plenty of opportunities to contribute ideas and help shape future marketing activity.

You will work closely with colleagues in Sales, Buying and Operations, as well as with our suppliers and Country Range Group counterparts, ensuring the McClures brand is represented consistently and professionally across every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions and new product launches.
  • Assist in managing McClures social media channels, including scheduling posts, writing captions and engaging with our audience of chefs, operators and foodservice customers.
  • Help create marketing content, including photography, short-form video, recipe content and basic graphics.
  • Update and maintain website content alongside the Website & E-commerce Coordinator, ensuring product information, promotions and news pages are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor website traffic, social media performance and email marketing results, producing regular reports and actionable insights.
  • Assist with the planning, creation and delivery of email marketing campaigns.
  • Collect promotional assets, product information and marketing materials from our suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Support the organisation and promotion of internal and external events, including trade shows, food shows, supplier campaigns and customer open days.
  • Maintain the marketing asset library, ensuring photography, logos and content are organised, on brand and easily accessible.
  • Carry out market and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities and emerging areas of interest within the foodservice market.
  • Liaise with Country Range Group's central marketing team on group-wide activity, promotions and joint campaigns.
  • Support the wider marketing team with day-to-day administration and project coordination.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
