Digital Marketing Assistant (Website & Social Media focus)
Salary range: £25,000 to £30,000 dependent on experience

Gold-i is a growing global FinTech firm and one of the world's leading software systems integrators to the international retail foreign exchange and digital asset markets. An award-winning innovator, Gold-i has developed a number of industry-first products to help improve the capabilities of retail brokers and banks across the globe.
We are looking to recruit a proactive and enthusiastic junior Marketing Assistant to own Gold-i's website and social media presence day to day. This is a great entry-level opportunity for an ambitious Marketing professional to develop their skills in a fast-paced B2B FinTech environment, working closely with the wider Marketing and Sales team.
Brief Description
This role reports directly to the COO, and will work closely with our Senior Marketing Executive on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for keeping Gold-i's website and social media channels current, engaging and on-brand, and will support the broader marketing team with content, campaigns and reporting as needed.
AI search optimisation (AEO) - making sure Gold-i's content is found and surfaced correctly by AI-powered search and answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews - will be a significant and growing part of this role.
Specific tasks will include:
Website
- Update and maintain website content, working with the CEO and Sales team on new pages, copy and imagery
- Plan, write and schedule regular blog posts
- Maintain SEO best practice across website content
- Support AI search/answer engine optimisation (AEO), helping ensure Gold-i's content performs well in AI-powered search and chat tools
- Monitor website performance (traffic, engagement) and flag issues or opportunities

Social Media
- Own Gold-i's social media channels (primarily LinkedIn), ensuring content is planned, scheduled and posted regularly
- Create supporting imagery and copy for social posts, in line with brand guidelines
- Track social media engagement and report on performance
- Track trends, competitors and relevant hashtags or conversations
- Support the Sales team with lead generation
HubSpot
- Schedule social posts and track campaigns using HubSpot tools
- Build dashboards and reports on email, web and social performance
- Create and send marketing emails, including newsletters and PR announcements
Skills and Requirements
Essential
You will:
- Be educated to degree level in Marketing (or a Marketing-related degree), or have equivalent relevant experience
- Have 0-2 years' experience in a Marketing role (experience gained through a university placement year is applicable)
- Have a genuine interest in website content management and social media marketing
- Have strong IT skills and a good understanding of digital marketing
- Have excellent written communication skills and a good eye for detail
- Have good organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- Be proactive, creative and keen to learn
- Be energetic, positive and have strong interpersonal skills

Desirable
- Experience posting on LinkedIn for a business, personally or professionally
- Familiarity with a CMS system such as WordPress, Umbraco or similar
- Basic knowledge of SEO and AI search/answer engine optimisation (AEO) principles
- Familiarity with Canva
- Experience using a CRM system (preferably HubSpot)
- Interest in FinTech or financial markets
Location and Hours
Location: First Floor, 10 Medawar Road, Surrey Research Park, Guildford, Surrey
Please note: our lease at Surrey Research Park comes to an end in January 2027. We expect to relocate at that point; the new location is not yet confirmed but will be within the Guildford area
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; 7.5 hour day with flexible start time
This is a primarily office-based role, with some flexibility to work from home
