What you'll do

As the Digital Marketing Associate - Display & Paid Social at Sainsbury's, you will be responsible for hands-on delivery of high-impact, data-led paid social and display campaigns for our brand, driving sales, building brand love, and advancing our digital channels. Your role will involve owning the end-to-end delivery of campaigns, collaborating closely with media agencies to plan, optimise, and measure campaign performance to a high standard. Utilising platforms like Smartly, you will build, test, and optimise creative variations at pace while exploring automation and AI features, as well as partnering with various platforms to activate new formats and innovations. Additionally, you will track performance metrics, analyse data to drive decisions and improve ROI, work with brand and design teams to develop high-quality digital creative, manage campaign budgets efficiently, and support the Display & Social Media Lead in delivering a pipeline of media projects.

Essential criteria

  • Proven experience delivering paid social and/or display marketing campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience using Smartly or a similar dynamic creative optimisation platform.
  • Experience using Excel and reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics or Tableau.
  • Experience monitoring and optimising campaign performance using key digital marketing metrics (for example ROAS, CTR, CVR and VTR.
  • Experience analysing campaign performance data and turn insights into actions that improve ROI.
