Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic Digital Marketing Director to lead our organization's global marketing team. The Digital Marketing Director will help to grow a global digital program at one of the most prestigious international NGOs.
You will lead and international team, overseeing the execution of multi-channel campaigns, deepen audience relationships, and elevate our brand across all touchpoints. Your leadership will shape how we connect with consumers, business partners, donors, and prospects, ensuring cohesive messaging and measurable impact.
The Director Marketing will lead international digital fundraising, consumer engagement and B2B strategy, focused on acquiring, converting, and retaining supporters across channels.
This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence—owning revenue performance, financial planning, growth modeling, and executive reporting—while partnering cross-functionally to scale digital programs and optimize the end-to-end supporter experience.
You bring expertise in performance marketing and fundraising, financial foundation, and ability to translate data into applicable growth strategies.
What You Will Do
Digital Fundraising Strategy, B2B Growth and Performance
- Define and lead a comprehensive global digital marketing and acquisition strategy to lead sustainable revenue growth (donations, aid sales, consumer engagement), donor lifetime value and customer loyalty.
- Lead the development and execution of high-performing, data-driven campaigns across digital channels like email, web, social, SMS, and paid media, overseeing the full campaign lifecycle from insights and data to campaign planning, story mining, creative strategy, and execution.
- Conceptualize high-level priority campaign and provide final review and approval on campaign execution and assets to ensure quality, consistency, and agreement on brand and organizational strategy and goals.
- Increase the full audience journey—from lead generation through conversion, retention, and long-term value growth.
- Champion a culture of innovation, testing, learning, and optimization (A/B testing, personalization, segmentation).
- Oversee web marketing and digital presence in an ever-evolving landscape, including SEO, GEO, and AEO optimization, and content strategy, inbound marketing, and demand generation.
- Identify and scale new revenue opportunities, including emerging channels, innovative fundraising models, and global expansion.

Planning, Budgeting, Reporting & Forecasting
- Lead global annual marketing budgeting, aligning investment with strategic growth priorities and revenue goals.
- Oversee the development of the team's annual workplan and operating roadmap, translating priorities into clear KPIs, targets, and applicable plans to improve performance.
- Prepare quarterly, and annual forecasting, providing visibility of revenue performance and risks.
- Track, analyze, and report on performance against revenue targets, acquisition efficiency, and ROI metrics.
- Help develop growth models that inform investment decisions, balancing acquisition, engagement, and retention to maximize ROI.
Executive & Board Reporting
- Prepare and deliver executive and executive/board-level materials, translating complex performance data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Provide regular updates on digital performance, growth opportunities, and risks.
- Be a trusted advisor to senior leadership on digital marketing, fundraising, and growth planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as an important member of the global Communications and Marketing leadership team, contributing to organization-wide brand growth strategy and ensuring digital programs support broader development, and CE&P goals and integrated planning.
- Partner with Development, CE&P, Legal, and Technology to agree on strategy, compliance, performance, and execution.
- Be a center of excellence for digital marketing, providing organization-wide guidance, strategic support, and mentorship to strengthen capabilities and lead best practices across teams.
Team Leadership
- Manage global marketing teams, aligned to revenue and growth goals.
- Empower teams with autonomy within a clear strategic framework, encouraging accountability and new ideas.
- Develop and coach talent to build digital leadership across the organization.
- Champion digital innovation and collaboration across regions and teams.

What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, digital fundraising or growth leadership.
- Experience scaling digital revenue and acquisition programs with measurable impact.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex strategies, including budgets, annual planning, forecasting, and performance management.
- Experience in financial modeling, growth modeling, and analysis (e.g., LTV, ROI, etc.).
- Experience presenting executive and board-level reporting.
- Deep expertise across digital channels (email, paid media, web, social, and peer-to-peer/crowdfunding).
- Experience with CRM, marketing automation and fundraising platforms
- Experience in fundraising KPI's and reporting; GA4, digital advertising, and social reporting, email/CRM analytics, and A/B testing.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing cross-cultural teams
- Experience with mission-driven work and global impact.
