Kin Collective Recruitment is partnering with an established global retailer to find a Digital Marketing Executive for its Bedford-based marketing team on a 10-month fixed-term contract.
This is a varied, hands-on position covering email and CRM, websites and e-commerce, SEO, paid digital activity and performance data. It is not a social media management role.
Recruiter's Thoughts
Harley is the recruiter managing this role and here’s why she thinks it could be a great opportunity for the right digital marketer:
“This is genuinely one of my favourite clients to recruit for. They’re a lovely, down-to-earth team, even though they’re part of a huge global business, and there’s loads to get involved in. It’ll suit someone who’s stronger across email, websites, SEO and data than social media, ideally with B2C experience, and who’s happy being with the team in Bedford three days a week.”
-Harley Urwin, Recruitment Partner.
The Role
Working closely with the Digital and Content Marketing Manager, you will help deliver digital activity across the customer journey and understand how each channel contributes to the wider business.
Your role will include:
- Creating and improving email and CRM campaigns, from planning communications to reaching and engaging different customer groups.
- Keeping customer-facing websites and e-commerce content accurate, relevant and easy to use.
- Coordinating SEO and paid digital activity with external agency partners.
- Reviewing website, CRM and campaign data to understand performance and recommend improvements.
- Supporting product launches, promotional campaigns and seasonal activity alongside UK and international colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
This role could suit an existing Digital Marketing Executive or a Marketing Executive whose experience already has a strong digital focus.
You will ideally have hands-on experience across several of the following areas:
- Email marketing and CRM campaigns.
- Website or e-commerce content management.
- SEO and digital content optimisation.
- Digital reporting and analytics.
- Paid digital campaigns or working with external agencies.
You will be comfortable looking at data, spotting what could be improved and turning those findings into practical next steps. Strong written communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage several pieces of work at once will also be important.
Experience within a B2C, retail, e-commerce or consumer-focused business would be helpful, but the client is open to candidates from other sectors whose digital experience aligns with the role.
Why Apply?
This 10-month contract offers the opportunity to build genuinely broad digital marketing experience within a successful global business.
Rather than being limited to one channel, you will work across email, CRM, websites, SEO, paid activity and analytics. You will also gain exposure to international marketing activity, established agency partners and a variety of campaigns and launches.
Location
