Digital Marketing Executive
Genesis Publications Ltd – Guildford
Staff position available at an independent, internationally known book publisher, Genesis Publications Ltd – a family-owned small business working with global music icons.
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to support and develop our online presence – from social media and content creation to campaign delivery and audience growth.
This hands-on role is ideal for a flexible individual who can manage their workload independently, while also being a positive team player who communicates effectively within a small team.
The Role
You will take day-to-day responsibility for Genesis’s digital channels, helping to create and deliver campaigns that connect our publications with a global audience of collectors and music fans.
This role combines creativity and execution – ideal for someone who is as comfortable editing a short-form video as they are planning a campaign or analysing performance data.
There is scope for the role to develop over time for the right candidate.
Main Role and Responsibilities
Content & Social
- Writing, sourcing assets and creating content for website and social media
- Researching and maintaining the social media calendar
- Management of social media channels

Website & E-commerce
- Day-to-day management of the website – creating voucher codes, updating existing pages and working closely with our web developer to troubleshoot and address any issues or changes
- Working closely with the editorial team to create product and coming soon pages on the website ahead of book launches
- SEO website optimisation
Campaigns & Growth
- Executing email and online advertising campaigns and monitoring performance
- Monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
Editorial & PR Support
- Researching, writing, fact-checking and uploading news items to the company website
- Creation of online press and asset toolkits for external collaborators
- Regular communication with high-profile author teams and management in order to coordinate marketing campaigns
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ digital marketing experience
- Experience working on brand-led social media accounts
- Strong content creation skills, including video editing and image design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (ideally Campaign Monitor) and website CMS systems
- Solid understanding of SEO and digital performance metrics
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workflow
- Confidence working with high-profile stakeholders and external partners
- Knowledgeable about and kept up to date with the latest digital trends and tools
- A genuine interest in music, books and visual culture
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a small-team environment

Salary
£31,000–£34,000 depending on experience
