Job Purpose
The Digital Marketing Executive supports the delivery of high-performing, data-driven marketing activities that generate quality leads, build awareness, and move prospects through the marketing funnel. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused, with strong emphasis on automation, analytics, SEO and campaign execution.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the integration of Salesforce into marketing workflows, aligning digital performance to sales outcomes. The successful candidate will help build, manage, track and optimise multi-channel campaigns – with a clear focus on conversion, visibility, and insight.
It requires sound knowledge of digital tools, technical SEO, content optimisation, and the ability to use platforms such as Semrush, Lead Forensics, social listening tools, CMS, email marketing and AI content support tools. You’ll thrive on detail, deadlines and data — but also have a practical, collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Digital campaign delivery
- Assist in building and executing integrated digital campaigns across channels (email, web, paid search, social).
- Support the full campaign lifecycle from planning and testing to deployment, monitoring and reporting.
- Manage email journeys and nurture campaigns, optimising open rates, CTRs, and conversions.
- Maintain an explicit content and campaign calendar aligned to business and sales priorities.
- Liaise with the creative, content, and communications teams. Ensure messaging consistency across all platforms.
Lead generation and sales enablement
- Support the creation of landing pages, forms, and lead capture mechanisms.
- Ensure all leads are correctly tagged, scored, and routed via Salesforce or integrated platforms.
- Track campaign-attributed leads from first touch to handover as Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
- Collaborate with sales to ensure campaign objectives align with pipeline needs and sector targeting.
- Assist in building audience segments based on engagement, buyer intent, and firmographics.
SEO, GEO, AEO and content performance
- Conduct on-page SEO audits and recommend changes to content, structure, and tags.
- Track keyword performance, backlinks, crawl issues and technical SEO factors using Semrush.
- Identify opportunities to enhance visibility across Google Search, Google Discover, and Google Answers.
- Work with content teams to ensure all published content meets AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) standards.
- Support local SEO and GEO content strategy where location-based search is relevant.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
