Join our award-winning team as a Digital Marketing Executive

Are you the person who can keep several plates spinning, spot what needs doing next and find a sensible way forward when something gets stuck?

webdna is looking for a pragmatic, creative and curious Marketing Executive to help us deliver brilliant work for a varied mix of clients. You might already work in marketing, but you do not have to. We are more interested in how you think, organise and solve problems, alongside a genuine interest in building a career in marketing.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into action. One day you might be helping plan a campaign, the next researching an audience, writing social content, pulling together a client report or improving the way a project is organised. You will work closely with our marketing, design and development teams, with plenty of support as you learn.

About us

webdna is an award-winning creative, marketing, and digital development agency based in Nottingham. We create effective digital experiences and marketing campaigns for organisations across a wide range of sectors.

We are one of the world’s leading Craft CMS agencies and have been recognised as European Craft CMS Agency of the Year, UK Craft CMS Agency of the Year, and one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work in the UK. We are proud of the work we create, but just as proud of the friendly, supportive, and down-to-earth team behind it.

What you’ll do

You will help plan, organise and deliver marketing activity across several client accounts. The work is broad, so you will need to be comfortable switching between tasks, keeping track of details and asking good questions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Create and edit content for social media, blogs, newsletters, and promotional emails
  • Schedule social content and engage with audiences on behalf of clients
  • Research industries, audiences, competitors, and marketing trends, then turn what you find into useful insights
  • Track campaign performance and produce clear, accurate reports that explain what happened and what we should do next
  • Keep clients updated on progress, results and opportunities
  • Coordinate tasks, timings, quotes and estimates, while looking for practical ways to keep work moving and improve how the team works
  • Get to know our clients, their goals, and their audiences, so the work you deliver is relevant, thoughtful, and effective

What we’re looking for

Marketing experience would be useful, but it is not essential. You may be coming from project coordination, events, operations, account support, administration, customer service, or another busy role where you have had to organise lots of moving parts. What matters most is your approach.

  • Pragmatic: you focus on what will work, make sensible decisions, and get things done
  • Organised: you can manage several priorities without losing sight of the detail
  • Curious: you enjoy learning, researching, and understanding why something works
  • Creative: you bring ideas and can see different ways to approach a brief
  • A problem solver: you stay calm, think things through and look for solutions
  • A clear communicator: you write and speak confidently and can adapt your style for different people
  • Proactive: you take ownership, follow things through, and know when to ask for help
  • People-focused: you enjoy working with clients and colleagues and want to contribute to a supportive team
