A well-established and growing retail ecommerce business is seeking a Digital Marketing Executive / Email Marketing Executive to join their Head Office in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a data-driven, commercially focused digital marketer to play a key role in driving online sales, website traffic, customer acquisition, and retention strategies.
Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager, you will support the delivery of multi-channel digital campaigns, with a strong focus on email marketing, CRM, SEO, paid media, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities – Digital Marketing Executive
- Manage the full email marketing lifecycle, including campaign planning, email build, segmentation, testing, deployment, reporting, and optimisation.
- Deliver high-performing email and SMS marketing campaigns to increase customer engagement and conversion rates.
- Develop and execute CRM strategies, including customer segmentation, targeting, and personalisation.
- Create tailored campaigns for different customer audiences and demographics to maximise ROI.
- Conduct A/B testing to improve email performance, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
- Monitor and analyse digital marketing KPIs, including email marketing, SEO, PPC (paid search), paid social, and affiliate marketing performance.
- Support customer retention and loyalty programmes through effective CRM and lifecycle marketing.
- Collaborate with external agencies to optimise SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and affiliate channels.
- Assist with digital marketing reporting, forecasting, and trading performance analysis.
- Work cross-functionally with Ecommerce, Marketing, and Trading teams to align campaigns with key promotional periods.
- Monitor search engine rankings and support ongoing on-site SEO optimisation to improve organic visibility.
- Ensure all digital marketing activity aligns with broader brand campaigns and marketing strategy.

About You
- Proven experience in a Digital Marketing Executive, Email Marketing Executive, or CRM Marketing role.
- Strong understanding of email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and customer lifecycle marketing.
- Experience with performance marketing channels, including paid search (PPC) and paid social media advertising.
- Solid knowledge of SEO best practices and digital campaign optimisation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics or similar reporting tools.
- Experience planning and executing A/B testing and data-driven optimisation strategies.
- Excellent copywriting, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a strong focus on commercial results and ROI.

Desirable Skills
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or a related field.
- Experience working in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) retail or ecommerce business.
- Familiarity with tools such as MAPP, Salesforce, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, or similar marketing platforms.
