About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join The Borgen Project’s dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in coordinating advocacy campaigns, supporting outreach initiatives, and engaging with stakeholders to advance the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for social justice, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful work that influences policy decisions and promotes global development. The Program Coordinator will work closely with team members, volunteers, and external partners to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and advocacy efforts, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in advocacy, nonprofit management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of U.S. foreign policy and international development issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and advocacy tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated passion for social justice and global development.
- Experience in organizing events, campaigns, or outreach activities is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement advocacy campaigns aimed at influencing policymakers and stakeholders.
- Conduct research and prepare policy briefs, reports, and other advocacy materials.
- Engage with community members, volunteers, and external partners to promote campaign objectives.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, events, and outreach activities to raise awareness about global poverty issues.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of advocacy strategies and suggest improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, communications, and campaign progress.
- Assist in developing content for social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Support fundraising efforts and grant applications as needed.
