About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and committed individual to join The Borgen Project as a Program Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing various outreach initiatives, coordinating advocacy campaigns, and supporting the organization’s mission to end global poverty. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong passion for social justice, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to impactful projects that influence policy decisions and promote sustainable development efforts worldwide.

- Bachelor’s degree in political science, international relations, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Prior experience in advocacy, community outreach, or nonprofit sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated passion for social justice and a commitment to the mission of ending global poverty.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage stakeholders, policymakers, and communities in support of anti-poverty initiatives.
- Coordinate and support advocacy campaigns, including lobbying efforts, petition drives, and awareness events.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, volunteers, and community organizations to expand the organization’s reach.
- Manage communication channels, including social media, email campaigns, and press releases, to effectively promote the organization’s initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of outreach activities, providing regular reports to senior management.
- Assist in organizing fundraising events and donor engagement activities to support organizational growth.
- Stay informed on current global issues related to poverty and development to ensure relevant and impactful messaging.
- Support the organization’s strategic planning efforts and contribute innovative ideas for program development.
