About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team in the role of Music Licensing Coordinator. In this position, you will be responsible for managing licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal standards, and facilitating the seamless acquisition of rights for our diverse catalog of music. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with artists, publishers, and internal teams to support the company's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of music rights management, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for the music industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in music licensing, rights management, or a similar role.
  • Deep understanding of music rights, licensing processes, and legal considerations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in licensing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of digital music platforms and industry trends is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and negotiate licensing agreements with publishers, rights holders, and other stakeholders to secure necessary rights for music usage.
  • Ensure all licensing activities comply with legal standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of licensing agreements, rights ownership, and usage rights.
  • Collaborate with the A&R, marketing, and legal teams to facilitate licensing requests and resolve any issues related to rights clearance.
  • Monitor industry developments and changes in licensing laws to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.
  • Assist in the development of licensing strategies to maximize revenue opportunities and protect intellectual property rights.
  • Support the preparation of licensing documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
