Who we are… in a nutshell

Ramarketing is an international marketing agency specialising in life sciences. We help clients grow their businesses, building genuine partnerships to enhance their marketing, design, content, and PR strategies. With offices in the UK, US, and Canada, and over 80 global industry experts, we deliver B2B solutions that deliver real, measurable results and impact.

Job purpose

As ramarketing’s Digital Marketing Lead, you will lead and develop our Digital and Performance Marketing capability, taking overall responsibility for its direction, performance, quality and evolution.

Reporting to the Head of Capabilities, you’ll lead and develop the team, creating clear accountability for standards and performance; building the skills and expertise of the team and people within it. You’ll set a clear direction for Digital and Performance Marketing, ensuring the right expertise, skills, standards and ways of working are in place to continually deliver high-quality, commercially effective solutions for our clients.

As our senior Digital and Performance Marketing specialist, you’ll maintain strong technical and market expertise, ensuring our approach evolves alongside changes in technology, platforms, client needs and the wider digital landscape. Alongside leading the function, you’ll remain actively involved in client work, providing senior expertise and strategic direction where you can add the greatest value.

What you’ll be responsible for…

This is a leadership role with responsibility for both the impact of our Digital and Performance Marketing capability and the value it creates for our clients.

You’ll balance people and functional leadership with technical credibility, client impact and the continued evolution of what we offer.

Operational and Strategic Leadership

  • Set the direction. Build capability. Create accountability.
  • Lead, empower and develop the Digital and Performance Marketing team through clear expectations, coaching, feedback and performance management.
  • Build the skills, technical confidence and succession needed to create a strong and sustainable function.
  • Own the standards and quality of Digital and Performance Marketing work, ensuring consistently strong delivery across the team.

Evolve our digital expertise and offering

  • Stay ahead of developments across platforms, technology, AI, data and customer behaviour, translating them into practical improvements.
  • Shape how our Digital and Performance Marketing capability and services evolve in response to changing client and market needs.
  • Own and deliver a clear roadmap for Digital and Performance Marketing, turning changes in technology, AI, client news and the market into tangible improvements to our services, propositions, skills and ways of working.
  • Take new or improved digital propositions from idea through to implementation, ensuring they are embedded across the team and can be confidently taken to market.
  • Maintain the technical credibility to challenge thinking, guide specialists and set a clear point of view for the discipline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Bring senior expertise to our clients

  • You’ll lead the capability, but you won’t be disconnected from the work.
  • Provide senior digital strategy, technical expertise and direction on complex or high-value client work.
  • Translate client objectives and challenges into effective digital approaches, bringing clarity and credible senior counsel.
  • Support pitches, proposals and growth opportunities where Digital and Performance Marketing expertise can create additional value.

Make Digital and Performance Marketing work as part of the whole

  • Our strongest work happens when capabilities come together.
  • Work closely across Capabilities, Growth, Intelligence and Platform to integrate Digital and Performance Marketing effectively into client solutions.
  • Build strong relationships across disciplines and challenge constructively where a different approach will create a better outcome.
  • Help ensure Digital and Performance Marketing contributes to both client growth and sustainable agency performance.

What we are looking for...

You understand the craft well enough to challenge and develop experienced practitioners, but you also know that leading a capability is about more than technical expertise. You can set direction, create accountability, make good commercial decisions and bring people with you.

You’re comfortable moving between internal leadership and senior client conversations — and curious enough about the changing digital landscape to keep pushing the capability forward.

Skills & attributes

  • A clear and empowering leader — you create direction and accountability without taking ownership away from your team.
  • Technically curious — you stay close enough to the craft to know where Digital and Performance Marketing is heading and what that means for our clients.
  • Commercially aware — you understand where expertise creates value and can connect great digital work to business outcomes.
  • Collaborative and influential — you work across disciplines, communicate clearly and challenge constructively.
  • Focused on raising standards — for the work, for the capability and for the people around you.

Essential experience

You’ll bring:

  • Significant digital and performance marketing experience, with broad technical understanding and the credibility to guide and develop specialist practitioners.
  • Proven experience leading people and teams, including performance, coaching, skills development and accountability.
  • Strong strategic and client advisory experience, translating business and marketing objectives into effective digital approaches.
  • A track record of evolving digital and performance marketing capability in response to changing technology, platforms, AI, data and customer behaviour.
  • Strong commercial judgement and an understanding of how digital expertise contributes to client and agency growth.

What success looks like…

A strong, accountable Digital and Performance Marketing capability

  • You’ll create clarity around what great looks like — from the standards of our work to the expectations we set for our people.
  • Success means a confident, capable team that understands what’s expected, takes ownership and continues to develop its expertise.

Digital expertise that keeps evolving

  • You’ll ensure our capability keeps pace with a rapidly changing digital landscape rather than reacting to it after the fact.
  • Success means we’re not just spotting what’s changing - we’re translating those shifts into better services, stronger skills and new ways of working that improve what we deliver for clients.

Credible senior client impact

  • You’ll bring senior expertise to the work where it makes the greatest difference.
  • Success means clients and internal teams trust your judgement, complex digital challenges have clear strategic direction, and our expertise contributes to stronger client outcomes.

An integrated and commercially valuable capability

  • Digital and Performance Marketing shouldn’t operate in isolation.
  • Success means it works effectively alongside our other capabilities, strengthens integrated client solutions and contributes meaningfully to growth opportunities and sustainable agency performance.
