Location: Bournemouth.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (with flexi-time and hybrid working options).
Salary: Subject to experience.
Role Description
This role sits within the Appius Experience Team with a strong focus on the planning, co-ordination and delivery of paid digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels. It also includes elements of content writing, organic campaign elements and search engine optimisation. The role works closely with Appius experience team specialists for creative, UX and advanced analytics implementations. This role will also support Appius digital marketing and agency specific content origination, as required and where time permits.
Responsibilities
Digital Marketing for Paid Campaigns (typically 3-4 days a week)
- Campaign / audience research, forecasting and planning – internally and with client stakeholders.
- Paid search and paid promotional campaigns for clients – planning and implementation including Google Ads (incl. Youtube), Meta (incl. Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp), LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Tiktoks and other channels as required.
- Co-ordinating input from other Appius team specialists, particularly creative and analytics but also for content changes and ideas generation.
- Content creation and optimisation for paid ads and ‘landing page’ content – to promote fit with ads, audience engagement and conversion.
- Reporting results to clients in written and verbal form for status updates and overall campaign performance. Facilitating expansion of briefs, actions and decisions required from clients to achieve campaign success.
- Generating and ‘pitching’ campaign ideas to clients – uniquely created for their brand and proposition or research driven e.g. tapping into topics of interest for target audience.
- Progress company learning and accreditation in this area, including supplier overlap.

Search Engine Optimisation and Organic Digital Marketing (typically 1-2 days a week)
- Plan and measure the best overlap of paid and organic for clients and campaigns.
- Use SEO tools to understand website audiences and competitor strategies, using keyword research and various other SEO tools – we use SEMRush and Surfer but also Google trends and other tools where available.
- Deliver ‘proactive’ content led Search Engine Optimisation campaigns for clients – planning, consultancy and implementation – including on site and off site activities.
- Measure the success of natural and organic content in terms of exposure, positions, engagement and conversion (vs paid where required) – likely to be a combination of using SEMRush, Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 / Looker Studio information.
- Understand the role of email marketing and provide support in Appius and client tools as needed.

Appius Marketing (ad hoc as required and where time is available)
- Deliver Appius digital marketing campaign paid and SEO elements on an ad hoc basis.
- Report back to the business on Appius digital marketing campaign progress and results.
- Specify some content and website changes and improvements driven by Appius digital marketing and campaigns.
