You’ll join us at a pivotal moment for digital discovery, as customer journeys are increasingly shaped by search engines, AI-generated answers, large language models and emerging discovery platforms. Reporting to the Head of SEO and GEO, you’ll play a leading role in translating Sky’s organic discovery strategy into high-impact, measurable delivery across traditional search and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Digital Marketing to create a more integrated approach to customer discovery, bringing together Organic Search, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic and Creative.

What you’ll do

  • Translate Sky’s SEO and Generative Engine Optimisation strategy into a clear, prioritised delivery roadmap.
  • Develop and manage the roadmap for how SEO and GEO work together, aligned to the overall discovery strategy.
  • Drive organic growth across Sky’s key business verticals, including commercial product areas, entertainment content, sports, broadband, mobile and customer support journeys.
  • Lead delivery across research, opportunity sizing, briefing, content optimisation, technical SEO, structured data, implementation and performance measurement.
  • Develop approaches to improve AI search visibility, including entity optimisation, answer-first content, structured data, authority signals, source credibility and content designed to be cited, summarised or recommended by generative engines.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Dev teams, Editorial, Brand Marketing, Commercial, Trading, Data, Legal, Compliance and agency partners to deliver high-quality, measurable improvements to discovery performance.

What you’ll bring

Essential criteria:

  • Deep understanding and experience of the SEO landscape, including technical SEO, content strategy, authority building, search intent, analytics and integrated strategy development.
  • Practical understanding of Generative Engine Optimisation, AI search and large language model discovery, including how brands can be surfaced, cited, summarised and recommended.
  • Extensive experience delivering measurable organic search results across complex websites in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
  • Confidence working with technical teams on implementation, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, structured data, page templates and CMS considerations.
  • Strong analytical capability, using SEO tools, analytics platforms and reporting frameworks to turn data into clear insight and action.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and emerging topics clearly to senior stakeholders and non-specialist audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
