Digital Marketing Manager

Location:

Chester / Crewe / Wrexham (Hybrid, 2 days a week in office)

Salary:

£50,000 - £60,000

Job Type:

12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

A well-established B2C business in the North West is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join on a 12 month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this is a genuinely broad, commercially focused role sitting at the centre of the marketing function, connecting Paid Media, CRM, UX, App, Analytics and Agency delivery. You'll take ownership of content, SEO, GEO/AEO awareness, and ASO input, while also driving campaign execution and journey optimisation right across web and app.

You'll pick up the reins from day one, working closely with the outgoing manager to get a full handover of live projects, partner relationships, tooling access and reporting, and you'll keep things moving smoothly with clear documentation throughout your time in the role, to support an equally smooth return for the person you're covering.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Campaign planning & delivery: Own the integrated campaign roadmap, translate strategy into cross-channel execution plans aligning Paid, SEO, CRM, App, UX and Content, and ensure everything launches on time, on brief and commercially aligned, monitoring in-flight performance and recommending optimisations.
  • Agencies & marketing operations: Manage external agencies and in-house content resource, oversee workflow and the campaign calendar, drive accountability across stakeholders, and ensure tracking, tagging and governance standards are adhered to.
  • Content, SEO, GEO & AEO: Plan and manage content across web, blog and organic channels, own the SEO strategy across on-page, technical and off-page activity, and monitor emerging GEO and AEO developments as search behaviour evolves.
  • ASO & Paid input: Support App Store Optimisation activity with an agency partner, and provide content direction to the paid marketing function in line with organic and brand strategy.
  • Journey optimisation & CRO: Work with the Product team to map and optimise end-to-end Web and App journeys, identify friction points across quote, purchase, extension and retention, and support CRO and testing initiatives.
  • Voice of customer: Own digital customer feedback loops, manage NPS and transactional surveys, and translate insight into prioritised actions.
  • Affiliates: Launch, scale or manage the affiliate channel, including partner onboarding and network relationships.
  • CRM, CMS & brand: Support CRM segmentation briefs and lifecycle initiatives, manage CMS updates and landing page builds, and support organic social to help bring the brand to life.
  • AI-supported ways of working: Use AI tools to improve efficiency across content, SEO and CRO workflows.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
