Social Media Marketing Lead / Manager

Full-Time | India Office | UK Company | Hands-On Leadership Role | Competitive Salary

About the Role

We are a UK-based company looking for a highly organised, disciplined and hands-on Social Media Marketing Lead / Manager to take a leading role in the marketing and social media activity across three growing brands.

The role will be based from our India office, working closely with the founder and our wider team across the UK and India, as well as external creative and marketing resources.

Travel within India and internationally, including to the UK, may be required from time to time for meetings, content creation, events, campaigns and other business requirements.

You will work directly with the founder to help develop the strategy for each brand and then take responsibility for ensuring that strategy is properly planned, executed and measured.

Importantly, you will not be working alone. You will have access to a combination of internal team members and external resources, including designers, content creators, photographers, videographers, developers, freelancers, agencies and other specialists as required.

Your role is to lead, coordinate and get the best from these resources while remaining hands-on yourself. We are looking for someone who can bring structure, discipline, creativity, leadership and accountability to our marketing operation.

Key Responsibilities – Strategy & Planning

  • Work directly with the founder to develop the marketing strategy for each brand.
  • Understand the different audiences, positioning and commercial objectives of all three brands.
  • Translate business objectives into practical marketing plans.
  • Create monthly and quarterly marketing plans.
  • Develop individual social media and content strategies for each brand.
  • Build structured content calendars and campaign schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to increase awareness, engagement, enquiries and sales.
  • Ensure plans are executed consistently and on time.

Lead & Coordinate the Marketing Team

  • You will play the lead role in coordinating the people and resources involved in marketing, including internal UK and India team members, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, content creators, copywriters, website and development teams, paid advertising specialists, influencers, freelancers, external agencies and suppliers.
  • Create clear briefs, allocate and coordinate work, establish priorities and deadlines, follow up and ensure delivery, review quality, maintain brand consistency, and keep campaigns and content production moving according to schedule.
  • You must be comfortable being both a leader and a doer.

Hands-On Social Media Management

  • This is not a role where everything is delegated to other people.
  • You will personally be involved in creating and publishing content; writing posts and captions; creating Reels, Stories and short-form videos; basic image and video editing; scheduling content; community engagement; monitoring trends; developing new content ideas; repurposing content across platforms; and reviewing performance.
  • Platforms may include Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and other relevant channels.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Content Production

  • Take ownership of ensuring there is a continuous pipeline of high-quality content across all three brands.
  • Plan content shoots, develop concepts, create briefs and shot lists, coordinate photographers and videographers, organise contributors and locations, review and approve content, repurpose larger content into multiple social assets, and maintain organised creative libraries.
  • Our objective is to build a reliable content and marketing operation rather than occasional bursts of activity.

Campaigns & Growth

  • Develop campaigns around launches, promotions, events and business objectives.
  • Build organic audience growth strategies and identify collaborations and influencer opportunities.
  • Coordinate paid social campaigns where appropriate.
  • Test creative concepts, formats and messaging, identify successful content and scale what works.
  • Continually look for opportunities to increase reach, engagement and conversion.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor relevant KPIs including audience and follower growth, reach and impressions, engagement, video views and watch time, website traffic, leads and enquiries, conversions and sales, campaign performance and paid advertising ROI where applicable.
  • Provide a simple weekly performance update covering: What we planned → What we delivered → What happened → What we learned → What we do next.

The Person We Are Looking For

  • Disciplined – You work consistently and follow through on commitments.
  • Structured – You work from plans, calendars, priorities and deadlines rather than constantly reacting.
  • Hands-On – You are willing to personally create, publish, edit and execute as well as lead others.
  • Leadership – You are confident coordinating internal and external resources and holding people accountable for delivery.
  • Timely – You understand that marketing depends on momentum and deadlines matter.
  • Creative – You continually generate new ideas and understand what makes people stop, watch, engage and share.
  • Commercially Minded – You understand that marketing ultimately needs to contribute to brand growth, enquiries, customers and revenue.
  • Resourceful – You find practical ways of getting things done using the resources available.
  • Accountable – You take ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks.
  • Collaborative – You are comfortable working across different teams, cultures, locations and time zones.

Skills & Experience

  • 2–5+ years' experience in social media or digital marketing.
  • Evidence of successfully managing and growing social media accounts.
  • Experience coordinating creatives, freelancers, agencies or other marketing resources.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Strong understanding of short-form video and current social trends.
  • Good copywriting and communication skills.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe or similar tools.
  • Understanding of social media analytics and Meta Business Suite.
  • Paid social advertising experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple brands simultaneously would be highly desirable.

  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in both the UK and India.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within India and internationally when required.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear marketing strategy for each brand.
  • Structured monthly content calendars and consistent publishing.
  • A reliable content creation and approval process.
  • Effective coordination of internal and external marketing resources.
  • Measurable improvement in audience growth and engagement.
  • Regular campaigns focused on generating awareness, enquiries or sales.
  • Simple and meaningful performance reporting.

Location & Travel

This is a full-time position with a UK company, based from our India office.

You will work as part of a distributed team operating across the UK and India and will regularly collaborate with colleagues, management and external partners in both locations.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in an international business environment and accommodating UK collaboration when reasonably required.

Occasional travel will form part of the role, potentially including travel within India and to the UK or other international locations for business meetings, campaigns, events, content production and other company activities.

What We Offer

  • Very competitive salary, based on experience and capability.
  • A positive, supportive and entrepreneurial working culture.
  • Direct collaboration with the founder and senior management.
  • Access to internal and external resources to help you succeed.
  • Significant responsibility and creative freedom.
  • Exposure to a UK and international business environment.
  • The opportunity to influence and grow three very different brands.
  • Opportunity to build and lead a wider in-house marketing team over time.
  • Genuine career progression towards Head of Marketing / Company Marketing Lead.

Who This Role Will Suit

This role will suit someone who wants ownership rather than simply another social media job.

You should enjoy bringing order and structure to a creative environment, working with different people, generating ideas and then making sure those ideas actually get executed.

We are looking for someone who can strategise, organise, lead and execute.

Someone who doesn't just ask “What should we post?” but thinks: “What are we trying to achieve, what do we need to create, who needs to do what, when does it need to happen, and did it work?”
